| 1 . Recently, a sizable loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was granted with the goal of accelerating India’s economic growth through sustainable infrastructure. This program seeks to encourage environmentally sustainable methods in infrastructure construction while focusing on important areas that need investment.

| 2. India is the first country to formally define “green steel,” which is defined as steel that has less than 2.2 tons of carbon dioxide emissions per tonne of finished steel. In order to assess green steel according to its emissions, the government has also implemented a star-rating system.

In an effort to strengthen defense cooperation between the three countries, India, France, and the United Arab Emirates have started an air combat exercise called “Desert Knight” over the Arabian Sea. Enhancing the air forces’ capacity to work together in challenging combat situations is the main goal of the exercise.

The “One Nation, One Election” Bill, which seeks to hold elections for the Lok Sabha, state legislatures, and local authorities all in the same year, was recently approved by the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The plan, which was included in the 2014 and 2019 manifestos of the ruling BJP, has been objective. During Parliament’s current Winter Session, the measure will be introduced.

| 8. India is now facing challenges in its attempts to lower the budget deficit, which peaked during the epidemic at 9.5% of GDP and has recovered slowly, to 4.5% of GDP by the fiscal year 2025–2026.
