| 1. The Supreme Court (SC) is considering petitions to decriminalize politics by prohibiting convicted individuals from running for office for life. The Representation of the People Act, 1951 (RP Act, 1951), which prohibits convicted individuals from running for office, is being amended by petitions.
सर्वोच्च न्यायालय (SC) दोषी व्यक्तींना आयुष्यभर पदासाठी निवडणूक लढवण्यास मनाई करून राजकारणाला गुन्हेगारीमुक्त करण्याच्या याचिकांवर विचार करत आहे. दोषी व्यक्तींना पदासाठी निवडणूक लढवण्यास मनाई करणारा लोकप्रतिनिधी कायदा, १९५१ (RP कायदा, १९५१) मध्ये याचिकांद्वारे सुधारणा केली जात आहे. |
| 2. The Prime Minister (PM) of India visited France to co-chair the Paris Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit 2025. Also, the 2nd India-France AI Policy Roundtable was held on the sidelines of the summit.

| 4. Under investigation is a YouTube influencer who reportedly made vulgar remarks during a well watched program. | 6. The Indian Army’s Eastern Command Headquarters in Kolkata, Fort William, has been renamed Vijay Durg in order to eliminate colonial influences. It is named after the earliest fort in Maharashtra, Sindhudurg, which was a former Maratha naval base under Chhatrapati Shivaji.
