1. The Supreme Court of India has postponed the hearing on the validity of the Places of Worship Act of 1991. भारताच्या सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने 1991 च्या प्रार्थना स्थळ कायद्याच्या वैधतेवरील सुनावणी पुढे ढकलली आहे. न्यायालयाने केंद्र सरकारला या प्रकरणावर आपली भूमिका स्पष्ट करण्यासाठी 31 ऑक्टोबर 2023 पर्यंत वेळ दिला आहे. धार्मिक स्थळांच्या धर्मांतराला बंदी घालणारा हा कायदा कायदेशीर चर्चेचा विषय बनला आहे आणि न्यायालयाच्या निर्णयामुळे या मुद्द्यावर अधिक चर्चा आणि स्पष्टीकरण मिळू शकेल.
2. The Union Cabinet has given its approval to the Draft Digital Personal Data Protection Bill (DPDP), 2022, which will be introduced in the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament. केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने डिजिटल पर्सनल डेटा प्रोटेक्शन बिल (DPDP), 2022 च्या मसुद्याला मंजुरी दिली आहे, जो संसदेच्या आगामी पावसाळी अधिवेशनात सादर केला जाईल. या विधेयकात अनेक लक्षणीय बदलांचा समावेश आहे, जसे की डेटा प्रोसेसिंगसाठी संमतीचे वय कमी करणे आणि काही कंपन्यांना सूट देणे. या बदलांचा उद्देश डिजिटल क्षेत्रात डेटा संरक्षण आणि गोपनीयता वाढवणे आहे. हे विधेयक आता संसदीय अधिवेशनादरम्यान चर्चेसाठी आणि संभाव्य सुधारणांसाठी पुढे जाईल.
3. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) recently organized a review-cum-workshop to assess and expedite the implementation of the second phase of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban (SBM-U 2.0) across India. 4. Union Minister of Ports, Sarbananda Sonowal, recently inaugurated the indigenous Differential Global Navigation Satellite System (DGNSS) named ‘SAGAR SAMPARK.’ This navigation system is developed to enhance the safety and efficiency of maritime navigation in Indian waters. It will provide precise positioning and navigation services to vessels, enabling better coordination and management of maritime operations.

5. The Central government has approved the appointment of Justices Ujjal Bhuyan and SV Bhatti as judges of the Supreme Court.
