2. The Madhya Pradesh Start-up Policy was launched by PM Modi during the Madhya Pradesh Start-up Conclave that was being held in Indore on the 14th of May 2022. The launch was done by the PM via video conference.

4. On 12th May 2022, Ranil Wickremesinghe was sworn in as the 26th prime minister of Sri Lanka. He was sworn in as the PM to steady the nation’s economy which is debt-ridden and to end the ongoing political turmoil. His appointment has been welcomed by India.

6. From May 15th, 2022, Rajiv Kumar, the current Election Commissioner (EC), will take over as the next Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). This announcement was made by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice.

10. The Asian Games 2022, due to be held in Hangzhou, China in September, has been postponed to 2023 due to rising COVID-19 cases in the country, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) announced.
