1. World Standards Day (or International Standards Day) is celebrated internationally each year on 14 October.
जागतिक मानक दिन (किंवा आंतरराष्ट्रीय मानक दिन) दरवर्षी 14 ऑक्टोबर रोजी आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर साजरा केला जातो.

2. India and Sierra Leone signed six agreements including extended a credit line of 30 million US Dollars for rice cultivation.
भारत आणि सिएरा लिओन यांच्यात सहा करारावर स्वाक्षरी झाली आहे ज्यात तांदळाच्या लागवडीसाठी 30 दशलक्ष अमेरिकन डॉलर्सची पत वाढविण्यात आली आहे.

3. Centre has announced Rs.25 lakh crore for infrastructural development in the villages across the country. It was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 13 October. The move aims to strengthen rural infrastructure. The fund will be used to construct modern storage centres for crops also.
केंद्राने देशातील खेड्यांमध्ये पायाभूत विकासासाठी 25 लाख कोटी रुपये जाहीर केले आहेत. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी 13 ऑक्टोबर रोजी याची घोषणा केली होती. या योजनेचे लक्ष्य ग्रामीण पायाभूत सुविधा मजबूत करणे हे आहे. या निधीचा वापर पिकांसाठी आधुनिक साठवण केंद्रे बांधण्यासाठी केला जाईल.

4. The Indian government is to invest over $60 billion to develop natural supply and distribution infrastructure. The Modi-led Indian government has set the target to more than doubling the share of natural gas in its energy base to 15% by 2030.
भारत सरकार नैसर्गिक पुरवठा आणि वितरण पायाभूत सुविधा विकसित करण्यासाठी 60 अब्ज डॉलर्सहून अधिक गुंतवणूक करणार आहे. मोदींच्या नेतृत्वात भारत सरकारने 2030 पर्यंत त्याच्या उर्जा बेसमधील नैसर्गिक वायूचा वाटा दुप्पट करण्यापेक्षा अधिक करण्याचे लक्ष्य ठेवले आहे.

5. The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) is to launch an improved version of the GST return filing portal on 22 October. It aims to make the process easier. The announcement was made by the GST Network CEO, Prakash Kumar.
वस्तू व सेवा कर नेटवर्क (GSTN) 22 ऑक्टोबर रोजी जीएसटी रिटर्न फाइलिंग पोर्टलची सुधारित आवृत्ती बाजारात आणणार आहे. प्रक्रिया अधिक सुलभ करणे हे उद्दीष्ट आहे. जीएसटी नेटवर्कचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी प्रकाश कुमार यांनी ही घोषणा केली.

6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has become the most-followed elected world leader on photo-sharing app Instagram. With 30 million followers, PM Modi leads the list of world leaders on Instagram.
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी फोटो-शेअरिंग ॲप इंस्टाग्रामवर सर्वाधिक 30 मिलियन फॉलोअर्ससह जागतिक नेत्यांच्या यादीत अग्रेसर आहेत.

7. The Governor of Madhya Pradesh Shri Lalji Tandon in the presence of Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (I/C), Shri Prahalad Singh Patel inaugurated the 10th Rashtriya Sanskriti Mahotsav in Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

8. Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism Prahlad Singh Patel participated in BRICS Culture Ministers’ meeting held in Curitiba, ब्राज़ील. Mr Patel asserted that BRICS for India is a valuable forum for consultation, coordination and cooperation on contemporary global issues of mutual interest.
ब्राझीलच्या कुरीतीबा येथे झालेल्या ब्रिक्स संस्कृती मंत्र्यांच्या बैठकीत केंद्रीय सांस्कृतिक आणि पर्यटन राज्यमंत्री प्रह्लादसिंग पटेल सहभागी झाले होते. श्री. पटेल यांनी असे प्रतिपादन केले की परस्पर हितसंबंधांच्या समकालीन जागतिक मुद्द्यांवर सल्लामसलत, समन्वय आणि सहकार्यासाठी ब्रिक्स हे भारताचे मूल्यवान मंच आहे.

10. The Indian women’s boxing contingent ended the World Boxing Championships campaign with a record four medals after Manju Rani bagged the silver in the 48kg category final.
भारतीय महिला मुष्ठियुद्ध संघाने वर्ल्ड बॉक्सिंग चँपियनशिप मोहिमेचा विक्रम चार पदकांसह संपुष्टात आणला आणि 48 किलो गटातील अंतिम सामन्यात मंजू राणीने रौप्य पदक जिंकले.
