2. The 19th edition of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings was released recently. It ranked 1,799 universities from 104 countries and regions. This edition covered 137 more universities than last year.
टाइम्स हायर एज्युकेशन वर्ल्ड युनिव्हर्सिटी रँकिंगची 19 वी आवृत्ती नुकतीच प्रसिद्ध झाली. त्यात 104 देश आणि प्रदेशांमधील 1,799 विद्यापीठांना स्थान दिले आहे. या आवृत्तीत गेल्या वर्षीच्या तुलनेत 137 विद्यापीठांचा समावेश आहे.

3. The seventh edition of maritime exercise IBSAMAR was organized from October 10 to 12 in South Africa.

8. The report titled “Global Status of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems — Target G” was jointly released by United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) on the occasion of International Day for Disaster Reduction (October 13).
