1. India successfully test-fired it’s first indigenously designed and developed long-range sub-sonic cruise missile ‘Nirbhay’ from a test range in Odisha.

2. National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) to submit a report on the constitution of Biodiversity Management Committees (BMC) at the local level in every state within three months.
नॅशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्युनल (NGT) ने पर्यावरण आणि वन मंत्रालयाला (MoEF) तीन महिन्यांच्या आत स्थानिक पातळीवर प्रत्येक राज्यात स्थानिक जैवविविधता व्यवस्थापन समिती (बीएमसी) च्या संविधानावर अहवाल सादर करण्यासाठी निर्देशित केले आहे.

3. The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have joined hands to map, validate and protect smaller wetlands in the coastal belt of the country. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the CMFRI and the Space Applications Centre (SAC) of the ISRO to develop a mobile app and a centralized web portal with a complete database of wetlands smaller than 2.25 hectares in the country.
सेंट्रल मरीन फिशरीज रिसर्च इंस्टिट्यूट (सीएमएफआरआय) आणि इंडियन स्पेस रिसर्च ऑर्गनायझेशन (इस्रो)ने  देशातील तटीय पट्ट्यामध्ये लहान भूजलांचे नकाशा, वैधता आणि संरक्षण करण्यासाठी हात मिळवणी केली आहे. देशातील CMFRI आणि स्पेस ऍप्लिकेशन्स सेंटर (एसएसी) च्या अंतर्गत मोबाइल ॲप आणि केंद्रीकृत वेब पोर्टल विकसित करण्यासाठी देशातील 2.25 हेक्टरपेक्षा कमी आर्द्रतेच्या संपूर्ण डेटाबेससह एक सामंजस्य करार करण्यात आला आहे.

5. India will build a cancer hospital in Kenya in collaboration with Japan. Also, India will partner with the UAE to set up an ICT centre (Information and Communications Technology center) in Ethiopia.

6. The world’s first armed amphibious drone boat named “Marine Lizard”, which is guided by China’s BeiDou Navigation Satellite System has been successfully tested by China.
चीनच्या बेईडो नॅव्हिगेशन उपग्रह प्रणालीद्वारे मार्गदर्शित असलेल्या “मरीन लीजर” नावाच्या जगातील पहिल्या सशस्त्र असलेल्या ड्रोन बोटची यशस्वीरित्या चीनने चाचणी केली आहे.

7. The Ministry of Commerce and Industries instructed the Health Ministry to frame law banning manufacture and sale of e-cigarettes in the country as in the absence of the domestic legislation, it would not be possible to put a blanket ban on its imports.
वाणिज्य आणि उद्योग मंत्रालयाने देशांतर्गत कायद्याच्या अनुपस्थितीत देशभरात ई-सिगारेट्सचे कायदे प्रतिबंध आणि विक्रीचे नियम तयार करण्यासाठी आरोग्य मंत्रालयाकडे निर्देश दिला आहे, त्यामुळे आयातांवर बंदी घालणे शक्य होणार नाही.

8. As per the latest report of independent Congressional Research Service (CRS), India’s steel export to the US in 2018 declined by 49 per cent to $ 372 million, while that of aluminum increased by 58 per cent to $ 221 million.
स्वतंत्र कॉंग्रेसनल रिसर्च सर्व्हिस (सीआरएस) च्या ताज्या अहवालानुसार, 2018 मध्ये अमेरिकेतील भारताची स्टील निर्यात 49 टक्क्यांनी घटून 372 दशलक्ष डॉलरवर आली आहे, तर एल्युमिनियमची निर्यात 58 टक्क्यांनी वाढून 221 दशलक्ष डॉलर झाली आहे.

9.  Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India’s 15-member squad for 2019 Cricket World Cup, which will take place in England and Wales from May 30 to July 14. Rohit Sharma has been appointed as Vice-Captain. The team included Dinesh Karthik as the second wicket-keeper besides MS Dhoni. MS Dhoni will feature in his fourth World Cup. Vijay Shankar was included in the squad as an all-rounder along with Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Kedar Jadhav. India’s 15-member squad are: 1. Virat Kohli (captain), 2. 10. Renowned Hindi poet Pradeep Choubey died of a cardiac arrest in his home. He was 70.
प्रख्यात हिंदी कवी प्रदीप चौबे यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 70 वर्षांचे होते.
