1. The Indian Railways is planning to run its diesel locomotives fleet using bio-diesel. The Indian Railways has informed the Parliament that the B-5 bio-diesel has been tested for the operation of diesel locomotives by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO).
भारतीय रेल्वे बायो-डिझेल वापरून डिझेल लोकोमोटिव्हचा ताफा चालवण्याचा विचार करत आहे. रिसर्च डिझाईन्स अँड स्टँडर्ड्स ऑर्गनायझेशन (RDSO) द्वारे डिझेल लोकोमोटिव्हच्या ऑपरेशनसाठी बी-5 बायो-डिझेलची चाचणी घेण्यात आल्याची माहिती भारतीय रेल्वेने संसदेत दिली आहे.

2. The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has recently presented a set of Time Release Studies (TRS) that have been conducted by the department. TRS is a tool for performance measurement and assesses the international trade’s cargo clearance process.

3. According to a new report by Oxfam, more than a quarter of a billion people in 2022 will be pushed into poverty. The report also said that the financial crisis across the world will be driven by the rise in prices due to the Russia-Ukraine crisis and also due to the COVID-19-related economic crisis.

4. USD 2.2 million in climate action funding has been announced by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and partners of the Adaptation Innovation Marketplace (AIM) for 22 local innovators from 19 countries, that also includes India.
