| 1. The Supreme Court has made a key decision about West Bengal’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. It says that voters whose appeals against exclusion are accepted by appellate tribunals will be able to vote in the upcoming Assembly elections. | 4. The Indian government has approved a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the country’s first semiconductor fabrication plant. This is a big step toward building a domestic chip manufacturing ecosystem. Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Ltd. has been given the SEZ. They plan to spend about Rs 91,000 crore on the project in Dholera, Gujarat.
