1. Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has decided that the minimum daily wage of estate workers will be 1000 rupees with effect from 1st March.
श्रीलंकेचे अध्यक्ष गोटाबाया राजपक्षे यांनी 1 मार्चपासून इस्टेट कामगारांचे किमान दैनंदिन वेतन 1000 रुपये होईल असा निर्णय घेतला आहे.

2. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has resigned. The Medvedev submitted his resignation to President Vladimir Putin.
रशियाचे पंतप्रधान दिमित्री मेदवेदेव यांनी राजीनामा दिला आहे. मेदवेदेव यांनी आपला राजीनामा राष्ट्रपती व्लादिमीर पुतीन यांना सादर केला.

3. The fifth edition of Science Film Festival of India, SCI-FFI 2020, was kick-started on in Goa’s capital city Panaji.
गोवाची राजधानी पणजी येथे SCI-FFI 2020 चे विज्ञान चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे पाचवे संस्करण सुरू झाले आहे.

4. In a first in the country, Maharashtra Police would be organising an international marathon in Mumbai on February 9.
देशात पहिल्यांदाच महाराष्ट्र पोलिस मुंबईत 09 फेब्रुवारी रोजी आंतरराष्ट्रीय मॅरेथॉन आयोजित करणार आहेत.

5. India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Finland on 15 January 2020. The MoU was signed by Defence Secretary Dr. Ajay Kumar and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Defence of Finland Mr. Jukka Juusti.
15 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी भारताने फिनलँड बरोबर सामंजस्य करार केला. संरक्षण सचिव डॉ. अजय कुमार आणि फिनलँडचे संरक्षण मंत्रालय स्थायी सचिव श्री. जुक्का जुस्ती यांनी या सामंजस्य करारावर स्वाक्षरी केली.

6. Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) celebrated its 5th Annual Day in New Delhi on 15 January 2020. Secretary WCD, Rabindra Panwar along with other senior officials of the Ministry, its associated Statutory/Autonomous Bodies and representatives from the States and Union Territories participated in the function. Souvenirs to commemorate the Annual Day was unveiled during the event.

7. Indo-Japan joint-exercise Sahyog-Kaijin began on 16 January 2020 at the Chennai port. This is the 19th edition of the exercise that is being conducted between the two Coast Guards.
भारत-जपान संयुक्त सराव सहयोग-कैजीनची सुरुवात 16 जानेवारी 2020 रोजी चेन्नई बंदरातून झाली. दोन तटरक्षक दलांच्या दरम्यान घेतल्या जाणार्‍या या सरावाची ही 19 वी आवृत्ती आहे.

8. Secretary, Petroleum and Natural Gas Dr. M M Kutty inaugurated fuel conservation mega campaign ‘Saksham’ in New Delhi on 16 January 2020

10. Senior IPS officer A P Maheshwari was appointed as Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
