2. India observes National Dengue Day on May 16 as suggested by the Union Health Ministry to create awareness about the disease.

4. Scientists at CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur, have developed two mobile indoor Disinfection Sprayer units, Battery Powered Disinfectant Sprayer (BPDS) and Pneumatically Operated Mobile Indoor Disinfection (POMID).
दुर्गापूर येथील सीएसआयआर-सेंट्रल मेकेनिकल इंजिनीअरिंग रिसर्च इन्स्टिट्यूट (CMERI) च्या शास्त्रज्ञांनी बॅटरी पावर्ड डिस्टीफॅक्टंट स्प्रेयर (बीपीडीएस) आणि न्यूमॅटिकली ऑपरेट मोबाइल इनडोअर डिसिन्फेक्शन (POMID) ही दोन मोबाइल इनडोअर डिस्निफिकेशन स्प्रेयर युनिट्स विकसित केली आहेत.

9. Veteran Bengali author Debesh Roy died at a private hospital in Kolkata. He was 84.
ज्येष्ठ बंगाली लेखक देवेश रॉय यांचे कोलकाता येथील खासगी रुग्णालयात निधन झाले. ते 84 वर्षांचे होते.

10. Noted literary personality, educationist and national Professor Anisuzzaman passed away in Dhaka. He was 84.
प्रख्यात साहित्यिक व्यक्तिमत्त्व, शिक्षणतज्ज्ञ आणि राष्ट्रीय प्राध्यापक अनिसुझमान यांचे निधन ढाका येथे झाले. ते 83 वर्षांचे होते.
