1. Recently, in Yellowstone National Park, scientists discovered “giant” viruses that are estimated to be around 1.5 billion years old. This is an enormous discovery. These viruses are referred to as “giant” because their genomes are considerably larger than those of the majority of viruses. They unexpectedly do not cause harm to humans and provide vital information regarding the origin of life on Earth.
