1. The World Patient Safety Day is observed on September 17 to create global awareness for patient safety and urge people to show their commitment to make healthcare safer.
जागतिक रोगी सुरक्षा दिन रुग्णांच्या सुरक्षेसाठी जागतिक जागरूकता निर्माण करण्यासाठी आणि आरोग्यसेवा अधिक सुरक्षित करण्याच्या प्रतिबद्धता दर्शविण्यासाठी लोकांना उद्युक्त करण्यासाठी 17 सप्टेंबर रोजी साजरा केला जातो.

2. The Fiumicino International Airport (FCO) in Rome, Italy, has become the first airport in the world to be certified with “COVID-19 5-star airport rating” from Skytrax, a U.K.-based airport and airline review firm.
इटलीमधील रोममधील फिमिसिनो आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानतळ (FCO) जगातील पहिले विमानतळ बनले आहे जे स्कायट्रॅक्स, यू.के. स्थित विमानतळ व विमान समीक्षा कंपनीचे “कोविड -19  5-स्टार विमानतळ रेटिंग” असल्याचे प्रमाणपत्र आहे.

4. Lok Sabha unanimously passed the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament (Amendment) Bill, 2020. The Bill seeks to reduce the salaries of MPs and the sumptuary allowance of Ministers by 30 per cent.
लोकसभेने एकमताने संसदेच्या सदस्यांचे वेतन, भत्ते आणि निवृत्तीवेतन (दुरुस्ती) विधेयक, 2020 मंजूर केले. विधेयकात खासदारांचे वेतन आणि मंत्र्यांचा भत्ता 30 टक्क्यांनी कमी करण्याचा विचार केला आहे.

5. Parliament has passed the Institute of Teaching and Research in Ayurveda Bill, 2020 with Rajya Sabha approving it.

6. Tata Projects Ltd has won the bid to construct the new Parliament building at a cost of Rs 861.90 crore.

7. Amid the push for more digital transactions in the country, especially during the novel coronavirus pandemic and the way forward to the new normal, Titan Company has partnered with the country’s largest lender State Bank of India (SBI) to launch contactless payment watches.

8. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) said it expects India’s economy to shrink 10.2 per cent in the current financial year (FY21).

10. Leading scholar of Indian classical dance, art, architecture and art history, Dr. Kapila Vatsyayan passed away. She was 91.
भारतीय शास्त्रीय नृत्य, कला, वास्तुकला आणि कला इतिहासाचे प्रख्यात अभ्यासक डॉ. कपिला वात्स्यायन यांचे निधन झाले. त्या 91 वर्षांच्या होत्या.
