1. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is currently celebrating the National Panchayat Awards Week from 17th to 21st April this year. The purpose of this event is to recognize and appreciate the efforts of Panchayats (local self-governance bodies) across India for their exceptional performance in the areas of social and economic development. The awards are given in various categories, including the best performing Gram Panchayat, Block Panchayat, and Zilla Panchayat.
पंचायत राज मंत्रालय सध्या 17 ते 21 एप्रिल या कालावधीत राष्ट्रीय पंचायत पुरस्कार सप्ताह साजरा करत आहे. या कार्यक्रमाचा उद्देश सामाजिक आणि आर्थिक विकासाच्या क्षेत्रात त्यांच्या अपवादात्मक कामगिरीसाठी संपूर्ण भारतातील पंचायतींच्या (स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्था) प्रयत्नांना ओळखणे आणि त्यांचे कौतुक करणे हा आहे. उत्कृष्ट कामगिरी करणाऱ्या ग्रामपंचायती, ब्लॉक पंचायत आणि जिल्हा पंचायत यासह विविध श्रेणींमध्ये पुरस्कार दिले जातात.

2. The Maharashtra Bhushan award is an annual award presented by the state government of Maharashtra in India. It is considered to be the highest civilian award given by the state government and is awarded to individuals who have made exceptional contributions in various fields, such as arts, literature, science, social work, and public administration. The award was instituted in 1996, and since then, it has been presented to many eminent personalities who have made significant contributions to society.
महाराष्ट्र भूषण पुरस्कार हा भारतातील महाराष्ट्र राज्य सरकारकडून दिला जाणारा वार्षिक पुरस्कार आहे. हा राज्य सरकारद्वारे दिला जाणारा सर्वोच्च नागरी पुरस्कार मानला जातो आणि कला, साहित्य, विज्ञान, सामाजिक कार्य आणि सार्वजनिक प्रशासन यासारख्या विविध क्षेत्रांमध्ये अपवादात्मक योगदान दिलेल्या व्यक्तींना हा पुरस्कार दिला जातो. 1996 मध्ये या पुरस्काराची स्थापना करण्यात आली आणि तेव्हापासून समाजासाठी महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान देणाऱ्या अनेक प्रतिष्ठित व्यक्तींना हा पुरस्कार प्रदान करण्यात आला आहे.

3. The Supreme Court has rejected a plea made by some political parties alleging the selective and targeted use of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Directorate of Enforcement (ED) against their leaders by the Central government.
सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने काही राजकीय पक्षांनी केंद्रीय अन्वेषण ब्यूरो (CBI) आणि अंमलबजावणी संचालनालय (ED) यांचा त्यांच्या नेत्यांविरुद्ध निवडक आणि लक्ष्यित वापर केल्याचा आरोप करणारी याचिका फेटाळून लावली आहे.

4. A political leader went to the Central Bureau of Investigation to give his voice samples for a speech related to his suspected involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

5. Recently, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the Digital Health Summit 2023 in Goa to discuss and promote the use of technology in healthcare.

6. The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying launched an Animal Pandemic Preparedness Initiative (APPI) under One Health Approach recently. The initiative aims to address the threat of diseases that can be transmitted from animals to humans.
मत्स्यव्यवसाय, पशुसंवर्धन आणि दुग्धव्यवसाय मंत्रालयाने अलीकडेच वन हेल्थ अ‍ॅप्रोच अंतर्गत ॲनिमल पॅन्डेमिक प्रिपेडनेस इनिशिएटिव्ह (APPI) लाँच केले. या उपक्रमाचा उद्देश प्राण्यांपासून मानवांमध्ये पसरणाऱ्या रोगांच्या धोक्याला संबोधित करणे हा आहे.

7. TThe Climate and Energy Ministers and envoys of the Group of Seven (G7) countries have agreed to aim for carbon-free electricity production by 2035 and hasten the phase-out of coal. The pledge was made in Sapporo, Japan, ahead of the G7 summit scheduled for May 2023 in Hiroshima.
सात (G7) देशांचे हवामान आणि ऊर्जा मंत्री आणि दूतांनी 2035 पर्यंत कार्बनमुक्त वीज उत्पादनाचे उद्दिष्ट ठेवण्यास आणि कोळशाच्या फेज-आउटला गती देण्याचे मान्य केले आहे. हिरोशिमा येथे मे 2023 मध्ये होणार्‍या G7 शिखर परिषदेच्या आधी जपानमधील सपोरो येथे ही प्रतिज्ञा करण्यात आली.

8. Recently, a census of the mangrove pitta bird was conducted in the Kendrapara and Jagatsingpur districts of Odisha. It was the first of its kind in the area and aimed to determine the population of the mangrove pitta bird in the region.
अलीकडेच, ओडिशातील केंद्रपारा आणि जगतसिंगपूर जिल्ह्यांमध्ये खारफुटीच्या पिट्टा पक्ष्यांची गणना करण्यात आली. या भागातील हा पहिला प्रकार होता आणि त्या प्रदेशातील खारफुटी पिट्टा पक्ष्यांची लोकसंख्या निश्चित करण्याचे उद्दिष्ट होते.
