1. The Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation released the Women and Men in India 2022 report on March 16, 2023. The report revealed that India’s sex ratio, or the number of females per 1,000 males, is expected to improve from 943 in 2011 to 952 by 2036.
केंद्रीय सांख्यिकी आणि कार्यक्रम अंमलबजावणी मंत्रालयाने 16 मार्च 2023 रोजी भारतातील महिला आणि पुरुष 2022 अहवाल प्रसिद्ध केला. अहवालात असे दिसून आले की 2036 पर्यंत भारताचे लिंग गुणोत्तर किंवा 1,000 पुरुषांमागे महिलांची संख्या 2011 मधील 943 वरून 952 पर्यंत सुधारण्याची अपेक्षा आहे.

2. The second meeting of the Startup20 Engagement Group under India’s G20 Presidency will be held on 18-19 March in Gangtok, Sikkim. This meeting will provide a unique opportunity to promote startups in North East India.

3. The Indian government recently announced the establishment of seven PM MITRA Parks in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.

4. Namami Gange Program is a flagship program launched by the Government of India in 2014 to clean and rejuvenate the River Ganga. The program is aimed at reducing the pollution levels and restoring the ecological balance of the river.

5. Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh recently highlighted the newly created ‘herSTART’ platform, which aims to support women-led startups and encourage women entrepreneurs.
