| 1. Recent studies have shown that biodiversity follows a common pattern in the world’s main biogeographical regions. This finding goes against what scientists thought before, which was that the distribution of species in each zone would be different and not connected to other regions. The research examined more than 30,000 species from diverse taxa worldwide. | 3. By December 2025, India will start making sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) on a large scale. Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the biggest fuel refiner and retailer in India, has gotten international approval to make SAF from recycled cooking oil at its Panipat refinery.
