1. A Pune-based IT firm is developing software for the world’s largest ground-based telescope. The telescope is named as Thirty Metre Telescope (TMT), which is likely to come up on Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
पुण्यातील आयटी फर्म जगातील सर्वात मोठ्या ग्राउंड-आधारित टेलिस्कोपसाठी सॉफ्टवेअर विकसित करीत आहे. टेलिस्कोपचे नाव तीस मीटर टेलिस्कोप (टीएमटी) आहे, जो हवाईमध्ये मौना केयावर येऊ शकेल.

5. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) Worldwide Cost of Living Survey, Asia’s Lion City – Singapore has been joined by Paris and Hong Kong in a tie at the top of the table. Switzerland’s Zurich and Geneva and Japan’s Osaka are also among top five most expensive cities.

6. Microsoft announced that it has partnered with The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) to promote its Project ‘Sangam’ which is developed to accelerate Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) in India.

7. Astronomers have discovered 83 quasars powered by supermassive black holes 13 billion light-years away from the Earth, from a time when the universe was less than 10% of its present age.

8. The Ministry of Human Resource Development has signed a memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Afghanistan Government to work on digital education initiatives, which include many prominent programs developed by Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
