1. China announces USD 2 billion in coronavirus help at WHO assembly.

2. Kotak Mahindra Bank (Kotak) announced the introduction of Video KYC to open a full-fledged Kotak 811 savings account, a first in Indian banking.
कोटक महिंद्रा बँकेने (कोटक) भारतीय बँकिंगमधील पहिले कोटक 811 बचत खाते उघडण्यासाठी व्हिडिओ केवायसी सुरू करण्याची घोषणा केली.

3. Public sector Canara Bank has launched a business vertical dedicated for gold loans to meet emerging financial needs of customers in view of the current challenges and uncertainties.
सार्वजनिक क्षेत्रातील कॅनरा बँकेने सध्याची आव्हाने व अनिश्चितता लक्षात घेऊन ग्राहकांच्या उदयोन्मुख आर्थिक गरजा भागविण्यासाठी सोन्याच्या कर्जासाठी समर्पित व्यवसाय सुरू केला आहे.

4. India participated in the 73rd World Health Assembly (WHA) on 18 May. India was represented by Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare through video conference

6. A total of 41 people have died from Lassa fever in Nigeria’s northeastern state of Bauchi since the outbreak of the viral disease in the country early this year.
या वर्षाच्या सुरूवातीच्या काळात देशात व्हायरल रोगाचा प्रादुर्भाव होण्यापासून नायजेरियातील ईशान्य बाउची राज्यातल्या लस्सा तापाने एकूण 41 जणांचा मृत्यू झाला आहे.

7. In Japan, where the government has been fiercely engaged in tackling the novel coronavirus pandemic, a centuries-old ritual is sharing the blame for impeding social distancing efforts.

8. India has given USD 2 million in aid to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency working for the welfare of Palestinian refugees in support of its core programmes and services, including education and health, amidst the coronavirus crisis.

9. Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba chaired a National Crisis Management Committee meeting and discussed the preparedness and requirements for the upcoming Super Cyclone.

10. Noted Marathi dramatist, litterateur, theatre personality and National Award-winning director, Ratnakar Matkari passed away in Mumbai.  He was 81.
प्रख्यात मराठी नाटककार, साहित्यिक, नाट्य व्यक्तिमत्व आणि राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कारप्राप्त दिग्दर्शक रत्नाकर मत्कारी यांचे मुंबईत निधन झाले.
