1. The International Chess Day is celebrated on July 20 every year as the founding day of the FIDE (World Chess Federation).
आंतरराष्ट्रीय बुद्धीबळ दिन हा दरवर्षी 20 जुलैला FIDE (जागतिकबुद्धीबळ महासंघ) चा स्थापना दिन म्हणून साजरा केला जातो.

2. The Government said that India’s Case Fatality Rate of COVID-19 falls below 2.5 per cent for the first time.
सरकारने म्हटले आहे की कोविड -19 मधील भारताचा केस दर प्रथमच 2.5 टक्क्यांच्या खाली आला आहे.

3. According to  Assocham, India’s spices exports rose by 23 per cent to $359 million (around Rs 2,690 crore) in June 2020 from $292 million (Rs 2,190 crore) in the same month last year.
असोचमच्या मते, जून 2020 मध्ये भारताच्या मसाल्यांची निर्यात 23 टक्क्यांनी वाढून $359 दशलक्ष डॉलर्स (सुमारे 2,690 कोटी रुपये) झाली. गेल्या वर्षी याच महिन्यात ती 292 दशलक्ष (2,190 कोटी रुपये) होती.

4. In Madhya Pradesh, devotees from outside the state will not be allowed to enter the Mahakal temple campus in Ujjain from in view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
मध्य प्रदेशात कोविड-19 प्रकरणांची वाढती संख्या लक्षात घेता बाह्य राज्यातील भक्तांना उज्जैन येथील महाकाल मंदिर परिसरात प्रवेश दिला जाणार नाही.

5. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched its first mission to Mars on 20th July 2020. The UAE is striving to develop its scientific and technology capabilities and move away from its reliance on oil.
संयुक्त अरब अमिरातीने (यूएई) 20 जुलै 2020 रोजी मंगळावर पहिले मिशन लॉंच केले। युएई आपली वैज्ञानिक आणि तंत्रज्ञान क्षमता विकसित करण्यासाठी आणि तेलावर अवलंबून असलेल्या गोष्टीपासून दूर जाण्यासाठी प्रयत्नशील आहे.

6. Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), Durgapur, unveiled the COVID Protection System (COPS) for Workplace to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic.
वैज्ञानिक आणि औद्योगिक संशोधन परिषद (CSIR) – केंद्रीय यांत्रिकी अभियांत्रिकी संशोधन संस्था (CMERI), दुर्गापूर यांनी कोविड19 साथीच्या रोगाचा सामना करण्यासाठी कामाच्या ठिकाणी असलेल्या कोविड प्रोटेक्शन सिस्टम (COPS) चे अनावरण केले.

7. Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) under the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has been accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for Testing & Certification of Personal protective equipment (PPE) Kit.
केंद्रीय रसायन व पेट्रोकेमिकल्स विभाग, केमिकल्स आणि फर्टिलायझर्स मंत्रालयाच्या अंतर्गत केंद्रीय पेट्रोकेमिकल्स अभियांत्रिकी व तंत्रज्ञान संस्था (CIPET) चाचणी व कॅलिब्रेशन प्रयोगशाळांसाठी (NABL) वैयक्तिक संरक्षणात्मक उपकरणे (PPE) चाचणी व प्रमाणपत्र यासाठी अधिकृत मान्यता प्राप्त झाली आहे.

8. This year’s laureates of United Nations 2020 Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela Prize are Marianna Vardinoyannis of Greece and Morissana Kouyate of Guinea.
