| 2. India to host BRICS National Security Advisers’ Meeting on 22-23 June 2026. | 3. Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited has completed the installation of the Reactor Pressure Vessel at Unit-5 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project in Tamil Nadu. The 320 tonne vessel was installed after clearance from Atomic Energy Regulatory Board for Major Equipment Erection on 2 May 2026. ‘न्यूक्लियर पॉवर कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडिया लिमिटेड’ने तामिळनाडूतील कुडनकुलम अणुऊर्जा प्रकल्पाच्या युनिट-5 मध्ये ‘रिॲक्टर प्रेशर व्हेसल’ बसवण्याचे काम पूर्ण केले आहे. 2 मे 2026 रोजी ‘अणुऊर्जा नियामक मंडळा’कडून (AERB) मुख्य उपकरणांच्या उभारणीसाठी मंजुरी मिळाल्यानंतर हे 320 टन वजनाचे पात्र बसवण्यात आले. |
| 4. The Prime Minister will release the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 20 June 2026. An amount of ₹18,880 crore will be directly transferred into bank accounts of over 9.44 crore farmers across India. पंतप्रधान 20 जून 2026 रोजी ‘प्रधानमंत्री किसान सन्मान निधी’ (PM-KISAN) योजनेचा २३ वा हप्ता जारी करतील. याद्वारे देशभरातील 9.44 कोटींहून अधिक शेतकऱ्यांच्या बँक खात्यांमध्ये 18,880 कोटी रुपयांची रक्कम थेट जमा केली जाईल. |
| 5. On 20 June 2026, the Palestinian Embassy in New Delhi appealed to India for urgent medical assistance for the Occupied Palestinian Territory. | 6. India’s 166 major reservoirs had live storage of 51.92 billion cubic metres on 11 June 2026, which was 28.28 per cent of their total live storage capacity of 183.56 billion cubic metres. | 7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi transferred ₹2,400 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) on 19 June 2026 in New Delhi. The amount has been credited in the Direct Benefit Transfer mode to more than 15 lakh beneficiaries including first time employees and employers. पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी 19 जून 2026 रोजी नवी दिल्ली येथे ‘प्रधानमंत्री विकसित भारत रोजगार योजने’अंतर्गत (PM-VBRY) 2,400 कोटी रुपये हस्तांतरित केले. ही रक्कम ‘थेट लाभ हस्तांतरण’ (DBT) प्रणालीद्वारे 15 लाखांहून अधिक लाभार्थ्यांच्या खात्यात जमा करण्यात आली; यामध्ये पहिल्यांदाच रोजगार मिळवणारे कर्मचारी आणि नियोक्ते यांचा समावेश आहे. |
| 8. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted a nationwide mock drill on June 20, 2026 for the NEET-UG re-examination to be held on June 21, 2026. Around 23 lakh candidates participated in the exercise in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad. नॅशनल टेस्टिंग एजन्सीने (NTA) 21 जून 2026 रोजी होणाऱ्या NEET-UG पुनर्परीक्षेसाठी 20 जून 2026 रोजी देशभरात एक ‘मॉक ड्रिल’ (सराव चाचणी) आयोजित केली होती. या उपक्रमात भारतातील 551 आणि परदेशातील 14 शहरांमधील सुमारे 23 लाख उमेदवारांनी सहभाग घेतला. |
