1. World Television Day is globally observed today to highlight the importance of the visual medium and to recognize its increasing impact on decision-making and potential role in shaping global conversations.
व्हिज्युअल माध्यमाचे महत्त्व अधोरेखित करण्यासाठी आणि निर्णय घेण्यावर त्याचा वाढता प्रभाव आणि जागतिक संभाषणांना आकार देण्यासाठी संभाव्य भूमिका ओळखण्यासाठी आज जागतिक दूरदर्शन दिन जागतिक स्तरावर साजरा केला जातो.

2. The first ever Global Fisheries Conference India 2023 kicked off at Science City in Ahmedabad. The High-level delegations from about 10 countries, delegates from International Organizations, Fisheries Associations were present at the inaugural session.
पहिली ग्लोबल फिशरीज कॉन्फरन्स इंडिया 2023 अहमदाबादमधील सायन्स सिटी येथे सुरू झाली. उद्घाटन सत्रात सुमारे 10 देशांचे उच्चस्तरीय शिष्टमंडळ, आंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्थांचे प्रतिनिधी, मत्स्य व्यवसाय संघटना उपस्थित होते.

3. The Government of India has appointed Vinay M. Tonse as the Managing Director of State Bank of India until November 30, 2025. Tonse, currently serving as the deputy MD, was recommended by the Financial Services Institutions Bureau.
भारत सरकारने 30 नोव्हेंबर 2025 पर्यंत स्टेट बँक ऑफ इंडियाचे व्यवस्थापकीय संचालक म्हणून विनय एम. टोन्से यांची नियुक्ती केली आहे. सध्या डेप्युटी एमडी म्हणून कार्यरत असलेल्या टोन्से यांची फायनान्शियल सर्व्हिसेस इन्स्टिट्यूशन ब्युरोने शिफारस केली होती.

4. Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, EPFO has added 17.21 lakh net members during September. This is an increase of 21 thousand 475 net members over the previous month of August.
कर्मचारी भविष्य निर्वाह निधी संघटना, EPFO ने सप्टेंबरमध्ये 17.21 लाख निव्वळ सदस्य जोडले आहेत. मागील ऑगस्ट महिन्याच्या तुलनेत 21 हजार 475 निव्वळ सभासदांची ही वाढ आहे.

5. Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur inaugurated the 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Goa. The opening movie of this year’s IFFI was British film ‘Catching Dust’.
केंद्रीय मंत्री अनुराग सिंह ठाकूर यांनी गोव्यातील श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी इनडोअर स्टेडियममध्ये 54 व्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय चित्रपट महोत्सवाचे (IFFI) उद्घाटन केले. या वर्षीच्या इफ्फीचा ओपनिंग चित्रपट ‘कॅचिंग डस्ट’ हा ब्रिटिश चित्रपट होता.

6. Luc Frieden has officially been sworn in as Luxembourg prime minister, along with members of his new CSV-DP government. The rest of the cabinet took charge of their respective ministries over the course of the afternoon.

7. The founder of Sankara Netralaya Dr.S.S Badrinath (83-years) passed away in Chennai due to illness. He founded the Sankara Nethralaya as a unit of the Medical Research Foundation in 1978.
शंकर नेत्रालयाचे संस्थापक डॉ.एस.एस.बद्रीनाथ (83 वर्षे) यांचे चेन्नई येथे आजारपणामुळे निधन झाले. त्यांनी 1978 मध्ये मेडिकल रिसर्च फाउंडेशनचे एक युनिट म्हणून शंकर नेत्रालयाची स्थापना केली.
