| 1. The Reserve Bank of India has approved the continuation of senior leadership at HDFC Bank, which will help keep India’s largest private sector lender stable. | 4. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has suggested that the 2026 BRICS summit (hosted by India) discuss a proposal to link the central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) of the BRICS countries. | 6. A spider that is only a few centimeters long makes one of the strongest materials on Earth, not in a lab. The Darwin’s bark spider, or Caerostris darwini, is a native of Madagascar’s forests. Its silk is stronger and tougher than steel and most synthetic fibers. Its silk has a tensile strength of about 1.6 gigapascals, making it the strongest biological material ever tested. | 8. Telangana’s main urban development project, Bharat Future City, has received support from other countries, including the United Arab Emirates, which has agreed to work on the project. The announcement came after high-level talks at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
