| 6. The Supreme Court (SC) has said that Tiger Global’s sale of a $1.6 billion stake in Flipkart to Walmart in 2018 is taxable in India. This means that the India–Mauritius Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) doesn’t apply and the General Anti-Avoidance Rule (GAAR) does. सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे की, टायगर ग्लोबलने २०१८ मध्ये फ्लिपकार्टमधील १.६ अब्ज डॉलर्सचा हिस्सा वॉलमार्टला विकला होता, त्यावर भारतात कर लागेल. याचा अर्थ असा की, भारत-मॉरिशस दुहेरी कर टाळण्याच्या कराराचे (DTAA) नियम लागू होणार नाहीत आणि सर्वसाधारण करचुकवेगिरी प्रतिबंधक नियम (GAAR) लागू होतील. |
