1. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Safran Aircraft Engines have signed a long-term agreement on 22 July 2026 for production and supply of turbine ring forgings in superalloys for the CFM LEAP engine programme. These components will be manufactured at the Ring Rolling facility at HAL’s Foundry and Forge Division in Bengaluru, India.

हिंदुस्तान एरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड (HAL) आणि सफ्रान एअरक्राफ्ट इंजिन्स (Safran Aircraft Engines) यांनी 22 जुलै 2026 रोजी ‘सीएफएम लीप’ (CFM LEAP) इंजिन कार्यक्रमासाठी ‘सुपरअलॉय’पासून बनवलेल्या टर्बाइन रिंग फोर्जिंग्जच्या उत्पादनाबाबत आणि पुरवठ्याबाबत एका दीर्घकालीन करारावर स्वाक्षरी केली आहे. या घटकांचे उत्पादन भारतातील बेंगळुरू येथील HAL च्या ‘फाउंड्री अँड फोर्ज डिव्हिजन’मधील ‘रिंग रोलिंग’ सुविधेत केले जाईल.

2. As of 22 July 2026, 99.6% of the broad gauge network of Indian railways has been electrified. This ranked it second in the world for electrification of large railways, after Switzerland, which is 100% electrified.

3. BRICS Network University (BRICS NU) is a multilateral network of universities of BRICS member countries aimed at promoting academic mobility, joint research and institutional cooperation. As part of its BRICS Presidency 2026, India hosted the International Governing Board meeting of BRICS NU virtually on 21 July 2026. India also hosted a conference on Traditional and Indigenous Knowledge Systems on 20 July 2026.

‘ब्रिक्स नेटवर्क युनिव्हर्सिटी’ (BRICS NU) हे ब्रिक्स सदस्य देशांमधील विद्यापीठांचे एक बहुपक्षीय जाळे आहे, ज्याचा उद्देश शैक्षणिक देवाणघेवाण (मोबिलिटी), संयुक्त संशोधन आणि संस्थात्मक सहकार्य यांना चालना देणे हा आहे. २०२६ मधील ब्रिक्स अध्यक्षपदाचा भाग म्हणून, भारताने २१ जुलै २०२६ रोजी ‘ब्रिक्स नेटवर्क युनिव्हर्सिटी’च्या आंतरराष्ट्रीय नियामक मंडळाची (International Governing Board) बैठक आभासी (व्हर्च्युअल) पद्धतीने आयोजित केली होती. तसेच, भारताने २० जुलै २०२६ रोजी ‘पारंपरिक आणि स्थानिक ज्ञान प्रणाली’ (Traditional and Indigenous Knowledge Systems) या विषयावर एका परिषदेचेही आयोजन केले होते.

4. IIT Madras to host the 3rd Digital India RISC-V (DIR-V) Symposium 2026 on 1-2 August 2026 at IIT Madras Research Park, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The event is being organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India and RISC-V International.

आयआयटी मद्रास हे 1-2 ऑगस्ट 2026 रोजी चेन्नई (तमिळनाडू) येथील ‘आयआयटी मद्रास रिसर्च पार्क’ येथे ‘तिसऱ्या डिजिटल इंडिया RISC-V (DIR-V) परिसंवादा’चे (Symposium) आयोजन करणार आहे. हा कार्यक्रम भारत सरकारच्या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स आणि माहिती तंत्रज्ञान मंत्रालय (MeitY) आणि ‘RISC-V इंटरनॅशनल’ यांच्या सहकार्याने आयोजित केला जात आहे.

5. In July 2026, India and Panama held bilateral talks on trade, investment, logistics, maritime cooperation and digital connectivity. The discussions were attended by Union Minister for Commerce Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal, and Panama’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Javier Eduardo Martinez-Acha Vasquez.

6. President Droupadi Murmu and President of North Macedonia Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova jointly inaugurated a bust of Mahatma Gandhi in the Museum of the City of Skopje, on July 22, 2026. It was part of President Murmu’s two-day state visit to North Macedonia, which began on 21 July 2026 and was the first such visit by an Indian head of state.

22 जुलै 2026 रोजी, राष्ट्रपती द्रौपदी मुर्मू आणि उत्तर मॅसेडोनियाच्या राष्ट्रपती गोर्डाना सिल्व्हानोव्स्का-दाव्हकोव्हा यांनी ‘म्युझियम ऑफ द सिटी ऑफ स्कोप्जे’ येथे महात्मा गांधींच्या अर्धपुतळ्याचे संयुक्तपणे अनावरण केले. हा कार्यक्रम राष्ट्रपती मुर्मू यांच्या उत्तर मॅसेडोनियाच्या दोन दिवसीय अधिकृत दौऱ्याचा एक भाग होता; २१ जुलै २०२६ रोजी सुरू झालेला हा दौरा भारताच्या एखाद्या राष्ट्रप्रमुखाचा त्या देशातील अशा प्रकारचा पहिलाच दौरा होता.

7. Anurag Jain has been appointed by the Centre as the Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog for a period of two years with effect from 22 July 2026. Jain, an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1989 batch of the Madhya Pradesh cadre, was cleared for appointment by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

केंद्र सरकारने अनुराग जैन यांची 22 जुलै 2026 पासून दोन वर्षांच्या कालावधीसाठी नीती आयोगाचे मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी (CEO) म्हणून नियुक्ती केली आहे. मध्य प्रदेश केडरच्या 1989 च्या बॅचचे भारतीय प्रशासकीय सेवेतील (IAS) अधिकारी असलेल्या जैन यांच्या नियुक्तीला मंत्रिमंडळाच्या नियुक्ती समितीने मंजुरी दिली होती.

8. Andhra Pradesh has started a pilot project called Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain on July 23, 2026 for the digital management of land records. The project will use blockchain technology to build a tamper-proof platform for land information across the departments and integrate the records from revenue, survey and registration departments.

आंध्र प्रदेशने जमिनीच्या नोंदींच्या डिजिटल व्यवस्थापनासाठी 23 जुलै 2026रोजी ‘मी भूमी-ब्लॉकचेन’ (Mee Bhoomi–Blockchain) हा प्रायोगिक प्रकल्प सुरू केला आहे. हा प्रकल्प ब्लॉकचेन तंत्रज्ञानाचा वापर करून जमिनीविषयक माहितीसाठी छेडछाड करता येणार नाही असे (टॅम्पर-प्रूफ) व्यासपीठ तयार करेल आणि महसूल, सर्वेक्षण व नोंदणी विभागांमधील नोंदींचे एकत्रीकरण करेल.
