1. National Consumer Day is observed every year on Dec 24. The objective is to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities.
दरवर्षी 24 डिसेंबरला राष्ट्रीय ग्राहक दिन साजरा केला जातो.  ग्राहक चळवळीचे महत्त्व आणि प्रत्येक ग्राहकांना त्यांचे हक्क आणि जबाबदाऱ्यांबद्दल अधिक जागरूक करण्याची आवश्यकता यावर प्रकाश टाकणे हे उद्दीष्ट आहे.

2. Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban has achieved its target of creating Urban India Open Defecation Free. Urban areas of 35 states and Union Territories have become ODF.
स्वच्छ भारत मिशन-अर्बनने अर्बन इंडिया ओपन डेफिकेशन फ्री तयार करण्याचे उद्दिष्ट गाठले आहे. 35 राज्ये आणि केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांचे शहरी क्षेत्र ओडीएफ झाले आहेत.

3. Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group, has taken over as the President of industry chamber FICCI for 2019-20.
अपोलो हॉस्पिटल्स ग्रुपच्या जॉईंट मॅनेजिंग डायरेक्टर संगीता रेड्डी यांनी सन 2019-20 साठी इंडस्ट्री चेंबर एफआयसीसीआयच्या अध्यक्षपदाची सूत्रे स्वीकारली आहेत.

4. Narendra Modi government approved the appointment of Indian ambassador to the United States Harsh Vardhan Shringla as the next foreign secretary. He replaced Vijay Gokhale.
नरेंद्र मोदी सरकारने अमेरिकेत भारतीय राजदूत हर्षवर्धन श्रृंगला यांना पुढील परराष्ट्र सचिव म्हणून नियुक्त करण्यास मान्यता दिली. त्यांनी विजय गोखलेची जागा घेतली.

5. Nagpur Resolution adopted during a Valedictory session of a regional conference organized by DARPG (Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances). The meeting was on Improving Public Service Delivery and attended by officials from the Ministries of MSME, Road transport, northeast development, and officials from the prime minister office.
डी.आर.पी.जी. (प्रशासकीय सुधारणा व लोक तक्रारी विभाग) यांनी आयोजित केलेल्या विभागीय परिषदेच्या व्हॅलेडिक्टरी सत्रात नागपूर ठराव मंजूर केला. सार्वजनिक सेवा वितरण सुधारण्याबाबत ही बैठक होती आणि त्यात एमएसएमई, रस्ते वाहतूक, ईशान्य विकास मंत्रालयातील अधिकारी आणि पंतप्रधान कार्यालयातील अधिकारी उपस्थित होते.

6. Department of Telecommunications has approved the use of very small aperture terminal (VSAT) to improve internet connectivity for soldiers posted in remote locations.
दूरसंचार विभागाने दुर्गम ठिकाणी तैनात असलेल्या सैनिकांसाठी इंटरनेट कनेक्टिव्हिटी सुधारण्यासाठी अत्यंत लहान अ‍ॅपर्चर टर्मिनल (VSAT) वापरण्यास मान्यता दिली आहे.

7. In Saudi Arabia, a court has sentenced five people to death and jailed three others over the murder of the journalist Jamal Khashoggi last year.
सौदी अरेबियामध्ये गेल्या वर्षी पत्रकार जमाल खाशोगी यांच्या हत्येप्रकरणी कोर्टाने पाच जणांना फाशीची शिक्षा आणि तिघांना तुरूंगात टाकले आहे.

9. Indian weightlifter Rakhi Halder with creating two new national records clinched a bronze medal in the women’s 64kg weight category at the Qatar International Cup in Doha.
दोहा येथील कतार आंतरराष्ट्रीय चषक स्पर्धेत दोन नवीन राष्ट्रीय विक्रमांसह भारतीय वेटलिफ्टर राखी हलदरने महिलांच्या 64 किलोग्राम वजन गटात कांस्यपदक जिंकले.

10. Fazle Hasan Abed, the founder of the Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC), one of the world’s largest NGOs, has died in Dhaka aged 83.
जगातील सर्वात मोठी स्वयंसेवी संस्था म्हणून ओळखल्या जाणार्‍या बांगलादेश रूरल अ‍ॅडव्हान्समेंट कमिटी (BRAC) चे संस्थापक फाजल हसन आबेद यांचे 83 व्या वर्षी ढाका येथे निधन झाले.
