| 1. China has started a trade dispute with India at the World Trade Organization. This has made the economic tensions between the two Asian economies worse. Beijing has officially asked New Delhi for talks, saying that India’s support for the solar and information technology sectors breaks global trade rules and favors Indian goods over Chinese ones. NASA has lost touch with its Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution (MAVEN) spacecraft, which has been orbiting Mars for a long time and studying how the Red Planet’s atmosphere is escaping into space. For the Assessment Year 2025-26, the Income Tax Department has started a data-driven NUDGE campaign that asks taxpayers to voluntarily check and fix any deduction and exemption claims that may not be valid. | 4. Indian Railways has made its AI-based safety system stronger to protect wildlife on train tracks, especially in areas where elephants and forests meet. On Monday, Union Minister of Power, Housing, and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal opened the commercial operation of Unit–2 (250 MW) of the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project through a virtual event. | 8. Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in India to use a rolling budget framework, with estimates for three years in a row. Jagdish Devda, the Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, said that the state budget for 2026-27 will be based on what the people want and how they vote.
