1. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Deputy Governor Viral Acharya resigned six months before the scheduled end of his term.

2. Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan was sworn-in as Chief Justice of Telangana High Court in Hyderabad.

7. The foodgrains production in the country is estimated at 283.37 million tonnes during 2018-19. This is 17.63 million tonnes higher than the average production of the last three years.
