| 3. Based in Vienna, Austria, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the UN nuclear watchdog created in 1957. IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi said in Tokyo on 24 June 2026 that inspectors from the IAEA will visit the Iranian nuclear enrichment sites. The statement came after an interim United States-Iran agreement that calls for IAEA oversight of nuclear activities. ऑस्ट्रियातील व्हिएन्ना येथे मुख्यालय असलेली ‘आंतरराष्ट्रीय अणुऊर्जा संस्था’ (IAEA) ही 1957 मध्ये स्थापन झालेली संयुक्त राष्ट्रांची अणुविषयक देखरेख करणारी संस्था आहे. IAEA चे महासंचालक राफेल मारियानो ग्रोसी यांनी 24 जून 2026 रोजी टोकियोमध्ये सांगितले की, IAEA चे निरीक्षक इराणमधील अणु-समृद्धीकरण केंद्रांना भेट देतील. अमेरिकन आणि इराणी यांच्यातील एका तात्पुरत्या करारानंतर हे विधान करण्यात आले आहे; या करारानुसार अणुविषयक उपक्रमांवर IAEA ची देखरेख असणे अपेक्षित आहे. |

| 5. The ePlane Company, incubated at IIT Madras, has assembled its full-scale electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft e200X prototype (PT-01) in Chennai. The prototype is now in the ground testing phase and the company has set a commercial production target of 2028 with an initial production rate of 80 aircraft a year. | 7. In June 2026, the southern Western Ghats in Kerala’s Idukki district saw the discovery of a new genus and species of tiger moth, Antaram idukki. | 8. The Government of India announced 131 Padma Awards for 2026 on 25th January 2026. These include 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri Awards.
