1. World Development Information Day is observed on 24th October every year. The day aims to draw the attention of worldwide public opinion to the development problems.
जागतिक विकास माहिती दिन दरवर्षी 24 ऑक्टोबर रोजी साजरा केला जातो. दिवसाच्या विकासाच्या समस्यांकडे जगभरातील जनमताचे लक्ष वेधून घेणे हे या दिवसाचे उद्दीष्ट आहे.

2. World Polio Day is celebrated on 24 October. The day aims to raise awareness and resources to support the polio eradication effort.
24 ऑक्टोबर रोजी जागतिक पोलिओ दिन साजरा केला जातो. या दिवसाचे उद्दीष्ट पोलिओ निर्मुलनाच्या प्रयत्नास समर्थन देण्यासाठी जागरूकता आणि संसाधने वाढविणे आहे.

3. Google has officially announced that it has achieved quantum supremacy with its advanced processor that was able to surpass the world’s most powerful supercomputer.

4. Vice President, M. Venkaiah Naidu will lead the Indian delegation at the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) to be held at Baku, Azerbaijan on 25th to 26th of this month.

6. Chief of Indian Air Force (IAF) Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria left for Oman on an official visit to witness the ongoing Indo-Oman Joint Exercise ‘Eastern Bridge’

7. The Union Cabinet has decided to hike Minimum Support Price, MSP, for Rabi crops for marketing season 2020-21.

9. The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Federal Bank to offer a number of services.

10. The Central government has appointed Braj Raj Sharma as the Chairman of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). He will replace Pankaj Kumar, who has been appointed as CEO of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). The appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
केंद्र सरकारने ब्रजराज शर्मा यांना कर्मचारी निवड आयोगाचे (SSC) अध्यक्षपदी नियुक्त केले आहे. ते युनिक आयडेंटिफिकेशन ॲथॉरिटी ऑफ इंडिया (UIDAI)चे सीईओ म्हणून नियुक्त झालेल्या पंकज कुमारची जागा घेतील. या नियुक्तीला मंत्रिमंडळाच्या नियुक्ती समितीने (एसीसी) मान्यता दिली.
