| 1. On April 27 and 28, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will go to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, to take part in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting of defense ministers. | 2. The World Health Organization (WHO) has given prequalification approval to the first malaria treatment made just for babies and newborns. | 4. The Supreme Court made a big decision when it let a 15-year-old girl end her 31-week pregnancy for medical reasons. The court said that reproductive autonomy is a basic right under Article 21 of the Constitution. The Court said that forcing a minor to keep a pregnancy she doesn’t want would violate her privacy, dignity, and personal freedom. सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने एक महत्त्वपूर्ण निर्णय देत, वैद्यकीय कारणास्तव एका 15 वर्षीय मुलीला तिची 31 आठवड्यांची गर्भधारणा संपुष्टात आणण्याची परवानगी दिली. न्यायालयाने स्पष्ट केले की, प्रजननाबाबतचे स्वायत्ततेचे अधिकार हा संविधानाच्या अनुच्छेद 21 अंतर्गत एक मूलभूत अधिकार आहे. न्यायालयाने असेही नमूद केले की, एखाद्या अल्पवयीन मुलीला-जिची स्वतःची तशी इच्छा नाही-गर्भधारणा कायम ठेवण्यास भाग पाडणे, हे तिच्या गोपनीयतेचे, प्रतिष्ठेचे आणि वैयक्तिक स्वातंत्र्याचे उल्लंघन ठरेल. |

| 6. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) gave the 4th Gender Equality Mobilisation (GEM) Award to Guntur Municipal Corporation (GMC) in Vienna. The award was given during the International Day of Women in Industry 2026 celebrations to GMC for its work combining women’s empowerment with environmentally friendly waste management. संयुक्त राष्ट्र औद्योगिक विकास संघटनेने (UNIDO) व्हिएन्ना येथे गुंटूर महानगरपालिकेला (GMC) चौथा ‘लिंग समानता एकत्रीकरण’ (GEM) पुरस्कार प्रदान केला. महिला सक्षमीकरण आणि पर्यावरणपूरक कचरा व्यवस्थापन यांचा मेळ घालणाऱ्या कार्याबद्दल, ‘उद्योग क्षेत्रातील महिलांचा आंतरराष्ट्रीय दिवस २०२६’ च्या सोहळ्यादरम्यान GMC ला हा पुरस्कार देण्यात आला. |

| 8. A new scientific study has found that sperm whales may use structures for communication that are similar to those used by humans.
