1. Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions Dr. Jitendra Singh presented the Smart Policing Awards at the Homeland Security 2019 conference which was held in New Delhi. 35 officers were awarded the Smart policing Awards.
कार्मिक, सार्वजनिक तक्रारी आणि निवृत्तीवेतन मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह यांनी नवी दिल्ली येथे झालेल्या होमलँड सिक्युरिटी 2019 परिषदेत स्मार्ट पोलिसिंग पुरस्कार प्रदान केले. 35 अधिका्यांना स्मार्ट पोलिसिंग पुरस्काराने गौरविण्यात आले.

2. During his two-day visit to France, Prime Minister Modi and his France counterpart President Emmanuel Macron held talks discussed to strengthen strategic ties in key sectors on 22 August. They signed various MoUs in different sectors.
दोन दिवसांच्या फ्रान्स दौऱ्यात  पंतप्रधान मोदी आणि त्यांचे फ्रान्सचे समकक्ष राष्ट्रपती इमॅन्युएल मॅक्रॉन यांच्यात 22 ऑगस्ट रोजी प्रमुख क्षेत्रांमधील सामरिक संबंध दृढ करण्यासाठी चर्चा झाली. त्यांनी वेगवेगळ्या क्षेत्रातील विविध सामंजस्य करारांवर स्वाक्षऱ्या केल्या.

3. Harvard researchers have developed metalens, an electronic flat lens that works like the human eye. About the Lens: The technology used in the new artificial eye will revolutionize the lenses used in cameras, VR/AR headsets and eyewear. The special features of the lens include simultaneous focus, control of aberrations caused by astigmatisms and image shifts.
हार्वर्ड येथील संशोधकांनी मेटल, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक फ्लॅट लेन्स विकसित केले आहेत जे मानवी डोळ्यासारखे कार्य करतात. लेन्सबद्दलः नवीन कृत्रिम डोळ्यामध्ये वापरलेले तंत्रज्ञान कॅमेरे, व्हीआर / एआर हेडसेट आणि चष्मा इत्यादींमध्ये वापरल्या जाणा .्या लेन्समध्ये क्रांती घडवून आणेल. लेन्सच्या विशिष्ट वैशिष्ट्यांमध्ये एकाच वेळी लक्ष केंद्रित करणे, दृष्टिकोन नियंत्रणे आणि प्रतिबिंबांमुळे होणारी विचलन यांचा समावेश आहे.

4. BookMyForex partnered with YES Bank and card payment company Visa to launch a co-branded multi-currency forex travel card that will provide a smooth payments solution to Indians traveling abroad.

7. NITI Aayog has released the Round of Composite Water Management Index (CWMI 2.0) in New Delhi. The report was launched by Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairman, NITI Aayog and Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti. NITI Aayog has prepared the report to supplement the efforts of Jal Shakti Ministry.
नीति आयोगाने नवी दिल्लीत राऊंड ऑफ कंपोजिट वॉटर मॅनेजमेंट इंडेक्स (CWMI 2.0) जाहीर केला आहे. हा अहवाल डॉ. राजीव कुमार, उपाध्यक्ष, एनआयटीआय आयोग आणि श्री गजेंद्रसिंग शेखावत, जलशक्ती मंत्री. जलशक्ती मंत्रालयाच्या प्रयत्नांना पूरक ठरण्यासाठी एनआयटीआय आयोगाने अहवाल तयार केला आहे.

8. A survey by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Orbital Debris Program Office reported that more than 40 pieces of debris created by India’s anti-satellite test. The debris created by the test conducted by ISRO on 27 March is still moving around in space even as the majority of the debris has disintegrated.
नॅशनल एयरोनॉटिक्स अँड स्पेस Administrationडमिनिस्ट्रेशनच्या (नासा) ऑर्बिटल डेब्रीस प्रोग्राम ऑफिसने केलेल्या सर्वेक्षणात असे आढळले आहे की भारताच्या उपग्रहविरोधी चाचणीने 40 हून अधिक मोडतोडांचे तुकडे तयार केले आहेत. इस्रोने 27 मार्च रोजी घेतलेल्या चाचण्याद्वारे तयार केलेला मोडतोड अजूनही बहुतेक अवशेषांमध्ये विखुरलेल्या अवस्थेत फिरत आहे.

9. The Indian women hockey team won the Olympic Test event with Navjot Kaur and Lalremsiami leading the side to a 2-1 win over Japan in the final.
भारतीय महिला हॉकी संघाने ऑलिम्पिक कसोटी स्पर्धेत नवजोत कौर आणि लालरेम्सियामीने अंतिम फेरीत जपानवर 2-1 असा विजय मिळविला.

10. Arun Jaitley, the former finance minister and a stalwart of the Bharatiya Janata Party, passed away on Saturday at AIIMS hospital in New Delhi. He was 66
माजी अर्थमंत्री आणि भारतीय जनता पक्षाचे दिग्गज नेते अरुण जेटली यांचे शनिवारी नवी दिल्लीतील एम्स रुग्णालयात निधन झाले.  ते 66 वर्षांचे होते.
