| 1. On 24 June 2026, the Government of India notified an interim list of 318 works permissible under the new rural employment scheme. The framework is proposed to come into effect from 1 July 2026 under the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025, which replaces the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. | 8. At its 146th Session in Lausanne, on 24 June 2026, the International Olympic Committee approved a revised process for selecting the host of the 2036 Olympic Games.
