| 1. India has prepared a plan to make 1% blending of Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Aviation Turbine Fuel mandatory from January 2027. Initially targeting international flights, Union Government has laid down indicative targets of 1% in 2027, 2% in 2028 and 5% by 2030. Advertisement
जानेवारी 2027 पासून ‘एव्हिएशन टर्बाइन इंधना’मध्ये (Aviation Turbine Fuel) ‘शाश्वत विमानन इंधना’चे (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) 1% मिश्रण अनिवार्य करण्याची योजना भारताने तयार केली आहे. सुरुवातीला आंतरराष्ट्रीय विमानांना लक्ष्य करत, केंद्र सरकारने 2027 मध्ये 1%, 2028 मध्ये 2% आणि 2030 पर्यंत 5% अशी सूचक उद्दिष्टे निश्चित केली आहेत. |
| 2. India has sent its largest ever business and investment delegation to Canada for trade talks from May 25 to May 27, 2026. | 3. China’s Shenzhou-23 mission launched on 24 May 2026, with a three-member crew on a Long March 2-F rocket from the Jiuquan launch centre in north-western China. The spacecraft docked with the Tiangong space station about 3.5 hours after it blasted off on 25 May 2026. चीनचे ‘शेनझोऊ-23’ (Shenzhou-23) अभियान 24 मे 2026 रोजी, चीनच्या वायव्य भागातील ‘जियुक्वान’ (Jiuquan) प्रक्षेपण केंद्रावरून ‘लॉन्ग मार्च 2-एफ’ (Long March 2-F) रॉकेटद्वारे तीन अंतराळवीरांच्या चमूसह प्रक्षेपित करण्यात आले. 25 मे 2026 रोजी उड्डाण केल्यानंतर, सुमारे 3.5 तासांनी या अंतराळयानाने ‘तियांगोंग’ (Tiangong) अंतराळ स्थानकाशी जोडणी (docking) केली. |
| 4. India has become the world leader in issuance of Internationally Recognised Certificates of Compliance under the Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing. According to the ABS Clearing-House, India had issued between 3,556 and 3,561 certificates of the total number issued worldwide as of March-April 2026. ‘नागोया प्रोटोकॉल ऑन ॲक्सेस अँड बेनिफिट-शेअरिंग’ (Access and Benefit-sharing) अंतर्गत, आंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तरावर मान्यताप्राप्त ‘अनुपालन प्रमाणपत्रांच्या’ (Certificates of Compliance) वितरणात भारत जागतिक स्तरावर अग्रेसर ठरला आहे. ‘ABS क्लिअरिंग-हाऊस’च्या माहितीनुसार, मार्च-एप्रिल 2026 पर्यंत जगभरात वितरित करण्यात आलेल्या एकूण प्रमाणपत्रांपैकी 3,556 ते 3,561 प्रमाणपत्रे भारताने वितरित केली होती. |

India’s new foreign tax information exchange framework to take effect from 1 July 2026 These rules shall apply to requests received by the Income Tax Department from foreign tax jurisdictions and India’s outbound requests for tax information sent to other jurisdictions. भारताची परकीय करविषयक माहितीची देवाणघेवाण करणारी नवीन कार्यप्रणाली 1 जुलै 2026 पासून अंमलात येईल. हे नियम आयकर विभागाला परकीय कर क्षेत्रांकडून प्राप्त होणाऱ्या विनंत्यांना, तसेच भारताकडून इतर क्षेत्रांना पाठवल्या जाणाऱ्या करविषयक माहितीच्या विनंत्यांना लागू होतील. |
| 6. India and Russia held high-level Army talks on 24 May 2026 to enhance defence cooperation and enhance joint military capabilities. The 5th Sub Working Group (Land) meeting was held in New Delhi under the aegis of India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission on Military & Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-M&MTC). भारत आणि रशिया यांनी 24 मे 2026 रोजी संरक्षण सहकार्य वृद्धिंगत करण्यासाठी आणि संयुक्त लष्करी क्षमता वाढवण्यासाठी उच्चस्तरीय लष्करी चर्चा केली. ‘भारत-रशिया लष्करी आणि लष्करी-तांत्रिक सहकार्य आंतर-सरकारी आयोगा’च्या (IRIGC-M&MTC) अधिपत्याखाली नवी दिल्ली येथे ‘5 वी उप-कार्यकारी गट (भूदल)’ बैठक आयोजित करण्यात आली होती. |
| 7. The Ministry of Defence is expected to issue a Request for Proposal for the manufacturing of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft by June 2026. The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft, or AMCA, is India’s indigenous fifth-generation stealth, multirole combat aircraft programme for the Indian Air Force and the Indian Navy. संरक्षण मंत्रालय जून 2026 पर्यंत ‘प्रगत मध्यम लढाऊ विमाना’च्या (Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft) निर्मितीसाठी ‘प्रस्ताव विनंती’ (Request for Proposal) जारी करेल अशी अपेक्षा आहे. ‘प्रगत मध्यम लढाऊ विमान’ (AMCA) हा भारतीय हवाई दल आणि भारतीय नौदलासाठी भारताचा स्वदेशी, पाचव्या पिढीतील ‘स्टेल्थ’ (शत्रूच्या रडारला चकवणारा) आणि बहुउद्देशीय लढाऊ विमान प्रकल्प आहे. |
| 8. Mission Karmayogi 2.0 is the next phase of the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), launched in 2020 for civil services training in India. It uses role based learning and competency based training as well as the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform for government employees. ‘मिशन कर्मयोगी 2.0’ हा ‘नागरी सेवा क्षमता विकास राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रमाचा’ (NPCSCB) पुढील टप्पा आहे; हा कार्यक्रम 2020 मध्ये भारतात नागरी सेवांच्या प्रशिक्षणासाठी सुरू करण्यात आला होता. यामध्ये सरकारी कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी ‘भूमिका-आधारित अध्ययन’ (Role-based learning) आणि ‘क्षमता-आधारित प्रशिक्षण’ (Competency-based training) या पद्धतींचा, तसेच ‘एकीकृत सरकारी ऑनलाइन प्रशिक्षण’ (iGOT) या मंचाचा वापर केला जातो. |
