| 8. The Delhi High Court has said again that the right to do the last rites for a parent is part of the right to dignity under Article 21 of the Constitution. The Court said that automatically denying parole in these situations would violate a convict’s basic rights. The decision came in response to a request for emergency parole so that the petitioner could go to the “Tehravi” ceremony for their father’s death. दिल्ली उच्च न्यायालयाने पुन्हा एकदा म्हटले आहे की पालकांसाठी अंतिम संस्कार करण्याचा अधिकार हा संविधानाच्या कलम २१ अंतर्गत सन्मानाच्या अधिकाराचा भाग आहे. न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे की या परिस्थितीत आपोआप पॅरोल नाकारल्याने दोषीच्या मूलभूत अधिकारांचे उल्लंघन होईल. याचिकाकर्त्याला त्यांच्या वडिलांच्या मृत्युच्या “तेहरावी” समारंभात जाता यावे यासाठी आपत्कालीन पॅरोलच्या विनंतीला उत्तर म्हणून हा निर्णय देण्यात आला. |
