3. China was the largest recipient of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2020, according to a report released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

4. A large-scale tri-service joint amphibious exercise AMPHEX – 21 was held in Andaman & Nicobar group of islands from 21 – 25 Jan 2021.

5. India has been placed among the top 10 most affected countries by climate change, in the Global Climate Risk Index 2021 published by the Bonn-based environmental think tank Germanwatch.

6. India has issued a draft of a new “Arctic” policy, which, among other things, is committed to expanding scientific research, sustainable tourism, and mineral oil and gas exploration in the Arctic region.

7. UP becomes first Indian State to have 2 Expressway airstrips for landing & take-off of fighter planes. In Uttar Pradesh, a new 3,300-metre-long airstrip has been constructed near Kurebhar on Purvanchal Expressway.

8. The Reserve Bank of India recommends that the non-banking financial company (NBFC) sector adopt a stricter regulatory framework to prevent any systemic risks from recurring to the country’s financial system.
रिझर्व्ह बँक ऑफ इंडियाने अशी शिफारस केली आहे की नॉन-बँकिंग फायनान्स कंपनी (NBFC) सेक्टरने देशातील वित्तीय व्यवस्थेमध्ये पुन्हा येण्यापासून कोणताही प्रणालीगत जोखीम रोखण्यासाठी कडक नियामक चौकट अवलंबले पाहिजे.

9. On the evening of the 72nd Republic Day, India rewarded 119 people from different fields through the Padma Awards. These awards were awarded by the President of India in a ceremony held in Rashtrapati Bhawan.
