1. The Civil Aviation Ministry under Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has formed three advisory groups to look into challenges being faced by the sector.

2. In order to digitally connect the Panchayats and strengthen the mode of public service delivery in Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated 44 Digital Village Centres at Civil Secretariat in Srinagar.

3. China announced new rules under which profit tutoring in core school subjects has been barred to ease financial pressures on families.

4. Indian Space Research Organisation’s merchandise programme which will be customised space-themed has taken off in partnership with multiple companies.

5. At a two-year celebration of his government, today Karnataka Chief Minister, BS Yediyurappa announced his resignation.

6. Bangladesh is going to launch its own social media platform named ‘Jogajog’ which is an alternative to the globally popular Facebook and ‘Alapon’ which will be  an alternative of WhatsApp.

7. Rudreswara Temple which is located at Palampet, Mulugu district, in the state of Telangana has been inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

8. Four new sports have been introduced in the Tokyo Olympics. They are karate, skateboarding, surfing and sport climbing.

9. 13 years old Japanese skateboarder Momiji Nishiya won the gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

10. Renowned theatre director, satirist and eminent columnist Urmil Kumar Thapliyal passed away. He was 78.
प्रख्यात नाट्य दिग्दर्शक, व्यंगचित्रकार आणि प्रख्यात स्तंभलेखक उर्मिल कुमार थपलिया यांचे निधन झाले आहे. ते 78 वर्षांचे होते.
