1. After ending the practice of flogging, Saudi Arabia has now ended the death penalty for crimes committed by minors.

2. A government hospital in Ernakulam, Kerala has deployed a robot to serve food and medicines to coronavirus patients.
केरळच्या एर्नाकुलम येथील सरकारी रुग्णालयात कोरोनाव्हायरस रूग्णांना अन्न आणि औषध देण्यासाठी एक रोबोट तैनात केला आहे.

3. A team from the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT)-Bombay, NIT Srinagar and Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Awantipora, Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir has developed “Ruhdaar,” a low-cost ventilator using locally available materials. This invention will solve the problem of the ventilator, which is the primary requirement to treat COVID-19 patients, as the high-end ventilators used in hospitals cost in lakhs of rupees.
भारतीय तंत्रज्ञान संस्था (आयआयटी) -बॉम्बे, एनआयटी श्रीनगर आणि इस्लामिक विज्ञान व तंत्रज्ञान विद्यापीठ (आययूएसटी), अवंतीपोरा, पुलवामा, जम्मू-काश्मीरच्या संघाने स्थानिक पातळीवर उपलब्ध सामग्रीचा वापर करून कमी खर्चात व्हेंटिलेटर “रुहदार” विकसित केले आहे. या शोधामुळे व्हेंटिलेटरची समस्या दूर होईल, जी कोविड -19 रूग्णांवर उपचार करण्याची प्राथमिक आवश्यकता आहे, कारण रूग्णालयात वापरल्या जाणाऱ्या हाय-एंड व्हेंटिलेटरची किंमत लाखो रुपये आहे.

4. The Assam government has launched a new scheme Dhanwantari under which locally unavailable medicines are provided to the patients at home.
आसाम सरकारने धन्वंतरी ही एक नवीन योजना सुरू केली असून त्या अंतर्गत रूग्णांना घरीच उपलब्ध नसलेली औषधे दिली जातात.

6. Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal administered the oath to Justice Mohammad Rafiq as the Chief Justice of Orissa High Court.
ओडिशाचे राज्यपाल प्रोफेसर गणेशी लाल यांनी न्यायमूर्ती मोहम्मद रफिक यांना ओरिसा उच्च न्यायालयाचे मुख्य न्यायाधीश म्हणून शपथ दिली.

7. India sent 50,000 surgical gloves and one lakh tablets of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to Bangladesh to help its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. The information was passed by India’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das.
कोविड -19 साथीच्या आजाराविरुद्धच्या लढाईस मदत करण्यासाठी भारताने 50,000 सर्जिकल ग्लोव्ह्ज आणि हायड्रॉक्सीक्लोरोक्विन (HCQ) च्या एक लाख गोळ्या बांगलादेशात पाठवल्या. बांगलादेशातील भारताचे उच्चायुक्त रिवा गांगुली दास यांनी ही माहिती दिली.

9. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) announced Rs.50,000 crore liquidity support for Mutual Funds (MFs) on 27 April 2020

10. Under Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Centre is planning to transport and milling of pulses in the country to distribute one kilogram of pulses to about 20 crore households for 3 months.
पंतप्रधान गरीब कल्याण अण्णा योजनेअंतर्गत, देशातील सुमारे एक कोटी डाळींचे वितरण सुमारे 20 कोटी कुटुंबांना 3 महिन्यासाठी देशातील डाळींची वाहतूक आणि गिरणी करण्याचे केंद्र सरकार विचार करीत आहे.
