2. Sir David Attenborough, an English natural history presenter and biologist has been designated the recipient of the Champions of the Earth Award 2021 by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).
सर डेव्हिड ॲटनबरो, एक इंग्रजी नैसर्गिक इतिहास प्रस्तुतकर्ता आणि जीवशास्त्रज्ञ यांना संयुक्त राष्ट्र पर्यावरण कार्यक्रम (UNEP) द्वारे चॅम्पियन्स ऑफ द अर्थ पुरस्कार 2021 चे प्राप्तकर्ता म्हणून नियुक्त केले गेले आहे.

3. In the sleepy hamlet of Palli in Jammu and Kashmir’s border area of Samba, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated a 500 kV solar facility to the country.

4. Japan has said that four islands near the Kamchatka Peninsula have been illegally occupied by Russia. The Japanese call these islands ‘the Northern Territories’ while Russia calls them ‘Kurils.’

5. Germany’s Ministry of Economy, Robert Habeck, has announced that there are plans by a group of companies in the country’s automotive industry to develop a ‘passport’ that will be tracing the environmental impact of European batteries.

6. As per the ACI Worldwide Report on Real-time transactions, in the year 2021, India’s real-time transactions increased to 48.6 billion. This is almost threefold of China which is the closest challenger having 18 billion transactions.

9. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) have signed an agreement with the aim of collaborating in the areas of knowledge sharing and strengthening the mechanism to monitor the localization of sustainable development goals (SDGs).

10. Former Governor of various states and senior Congress leader K Shankaranarayanan passed away at Palakkad in Kerala on 24 April 2022. He was 89.
विविध राज्यांचे माजी राज्यपाल आणि काँग्रेसचे ज्येष्ठ नेते के शंकरनारायणन यांचे 24 एप्रिल 2022 रोजी केरळमधील पलक्कड येथे निधन झाले. ते 89 वर्षांचे होते.
