1. India celebrates National Science Day on February 28. National Science Day is celebrated in the country to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect.

2. The United Nations Maternal Mortality Estimation Inter–Agency Group, called the MMEIG recently released a report on the maternal mortality rate. The report shows the maternal mortality rates between 2000 and 2020.

3. French President Emmanuel Macron recently unveiled a new economic and military strategy for Africa. According to the new strategy, the French Government is to reduce its troops in the African region.

4. The Government of India is planning to create ten clean plant centres. These centres will focus on increasing fruit crop production. During the Union Budget 2023-24, the finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman announced the Atma Nirbhar Clean Plant Program.

5. Marina is a specially designed place of pleasure for small boats and yachts. The Chief Minister of Karnataka recently announced that the first Marina of India will be constructed in Byndoor, Udupi district, Karnataka.
