2. Union Education Minister, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, has approved proposal to provide monetary assistance through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to students under Mid-Day meal scheme.

10. A Venezuelan state governor who once served as defense minister for former President Hugo Chavez has died. Gen. Jorge Luis García Carneiro was 69.
एकेकाळी माजी राष्ट्रपती ह्युगो चावेझ यांच्या संरक्षणमंत्री म्हणून काम करणारे व्हेनेझुएलाचे राज्यपाल यांचे निधन झाले. जनरल जॉर्ज लुईस गार्सिया कार्नेरो 69 वर्षांचे होते.
