2. The Madras High Court has refused to intervene in the merger of the Lakshmi Vilas Bank-LVB with the DBS Bank.

5. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) signed a contract with Larsen and Toubro (L&T) for the construction of 237 km of viaduct and other installations for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
नॅशनल हाय स्पीड रेल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेडने (NHSRCL) मुंबई-अहमदाबाद बुलेट ट्रेन प्रकल्पासाठी लार्सन आणि टुब्रो (L&T) सह 237 किलोमीटरचे व्हायडक्ट आणि इतर प्रतिष्ठान बांधण्यासाठी करार केला.

6. The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between BRICS countries on cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.

7. The Centre gave environmental clearance to the long-awaited Song dam project in Uttarakhand, to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,200 crore.
