1. India installed 4.9 GW of solar power, consolidating its position as the second largest solar market in the world, during the first half of the calendar year 2018 according to a report by Mercom Communications India.  According to the report, China topped the list.
मेरकॉम  कम्युनिकेशन्स इंडियाच्या अहवालानुसार भारताने 4.9 GW सौरऊर्जा स्थापित केली असून, जगातील दुसर्या क्रमांकाचा सर्वात मोठा सौर बाजार म्हणून त्याचे स्थान मजबूत केले आहे. अहवालानुसार, चीनने यादीतील सर्वोच्च स्थान मिळविले आहे.

2. Indian telecom industry will roll out one million Wi-Fi hotspots in the country by December 2019. The Indian Mobile Congress 2018,‘Bharat Wi-Fi’ would be a country-wide common inter-operable platform for these million hotspots which would be owned and operated by telecom service providers, Internet service providers, and virtual network operators.
भारतीय दूरसंचार उद्योग डिसेंबर 2019 पर्यंत देशात 1 दशलक्ष वाय-फाय हॉटस्पॉट सादर करणार आहे. इंडियन मोबाइल काँग्रेस 2018, ‘भारत वाई-फाई’ या दशलक्ष हॉटस्पॉटसाठी देशव्यापी कॉमन इंटर-ऑपरेशनल प्लॅटफॉर्म असेल, ज्याची मालकी दूरसंचार सेवा प्रदाते, इंटरनेट सेवा प्रदाते आणि व्हर्च्युअल नेटवर्क ऑपरेटर्सनी केली असेल आणि त्यांच्या मार्फत ऑपरेट केले जाईल.

3. IDFC Bank proposed to change its name to ‘IDFC First Bank Ltd’ in the wake of its amalgamation with the non-banking financial company Capital First.

4. Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) signed a $777 mn deal with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to supply additional Barak-8 Long Range Surface to Air Missile (LRSAM) systems for seven warships of the Indian Navy.

5. Google sent an email to company employees admitting Google fired 48 people, including management, for sexual harassment in the last two years.
