1. National Sports Day is celebrated in India on August 29. It is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, a legendary Indian hockey player, who was also born on this day in 1905.
राष्ट्रीय क्रीडा दिन 29 ऑगस्ट रोजी भारतात साजरा केला जातो. 1905 मध्ये याच दिवशी जन्मलेल्या भारतीय हॉकीपटू मेजर ध्यानचंद यांची जयंती साजरी केली जाते.

2. Union Human Resource Development Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ launched one of world’s largest Integrated Online Junction for School Education ‘Shagun’ in New Delhi.
केंद्रीय मनुष्यबळ विकास मंत्री श्री रमेश पोखरियाल ‘निशंक’ यांनी नवी दिल्लीत शालेय शिक्षणासाठी जगातील सर्वात मोठे एकात्मिक ऑनलाइन जंक्शन ‘शगुन’ सुरू केले.

3. In a major boost for India’s aerial firepower, the Indian Air Force is set to receive the ‘building blaster’ version of the Balakot air strike-fame Spice-2000 bombs by mid-September.
भारताच्या हवाई अग्निशामक शक्तीला चालना देण्यासाठी भारतीय हवाई दलाला सप्टेंबरच्या मध्यापर्यंत बालाकोट हवाई स्ट्राइक-फेम स्पाइस -200 बॉम्बची ‘बिल्डिंग ब्लास्टर’ आवृत्ती मिळणार आहे.

4. India has become the first country in the world to issue Biometric Seafarer Identity Document, BSID, capturing the facial biometric data of seafarers.
सीफर्सचा बायोमेट्रिक डेटा हस्तगत करणारा बीएसआयडी बायोमेट्रिक सीफर्स आयडेंटिटी डॉक्युमेंट, बीएसआयडी जारी करणारा भारत जगातील पहिला देश ठरला आहे.

5. The Union Cabinet has relaxed Foreign Direct Investment rule for foreign single-brand retailers and also permitted foreign investment in contract manufacturing and coal mining.
केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडळाने परदेशी सिंगल-ब्रँड किरकोळ विक्रेत्यांसाठी थेट परदेशी गुंतवणूकीचा नियम शिथिल केला आहे तसेच कराराचे उत्पादन आणि कोळसा खाण क्षेत्रात परकीय गुंतवणूकीला परवानगी दिली आहे.

6. Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave away excellence awards to different community radio channels for their valuable contribution in sensitizing local people.
माहिती व प्रसारण मंत्री प्रकाश जावडेकर यांनी स्थानिक लोकांना संवेदनशील करण्याच्या मोलाच्या योगदानाबद्दल विविध सामुदायिक रेडिओ वाहिन्यांना उत्कृष्टता पुरस्कार प्रदान केले.

7. The International Day against Nuclear Tests is observed across the world on 29 August. The day aims to provoke the world organization, youth networks, and the media against nuclear testing.
परमाणु कसोटींविरूद्ध आंतरराष्ट्रीय दिन 29 ऑगस्ट रोजी जगभरात पाळला जातो. या दिवसाचे उद्दीष्ट जागतिक संस्था, युवा नेटवर्क्स आणि माध्यमांना अणु चाचणीविरूद्ध चिथावणी देण्याचे आहे.

8. Indo Pacific 2019 Chiefs of Defence Conference was held in Thailand on 26 August. The conference was held during the 3 day-visit of Air Chief Marshal and Chairman Chiefs of employees Committee, Birender Singh Dhanoa to Thailand.
इंडो पॅसिफिक 2019 चीफ ऑफ डिफेन्स कॉन्फरन्सिंग 26 ऑगस्ट रोजी थायलंडमध्ये आयोजित करण्यात आले होते. एअर चीफ मार्शल आणि कर्मचारी समितीचे अध्यक्ष बीरेंद्रसिंग धानोआ यांच्या थायलंड दौर्‍यावर 3 दिवसांच्या या परिषदेत ही परिषद झाली.
