1. International Translation Day is Commemorated on 30 September to celebrate the work of language translation professionals.

2. World Maritime Day is commemorated on 30 September to appreciate the importance of the maritime industry and note the importance of maritime security, maritime safety, maritime environment, and shipping.

3. According to Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Sarbananda Sonwal, the government has aimed to make India’s share of renewable strength to 60% in Major ports through solar and wind power.

9. Indian Institute of technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) developed a hydrogel from discarded corneas that can be used as an alternative to Corneal transplantation.
