| 1. India has been a world pioneer in developing livestock that is good for the environment. The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) convened the 2nd Global Conference on Sustainable Livestock Transformation in Rome in 2025. India showed off its new and open-minded ideas there. Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh, the Union Minister, talked about India’s past successes and future plans. | 2. The NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) satellite has sent back its first pictures of Earth’s surface. This milestone means that the joint mission is almost ready to start full science operations later in 2025. | 3. The Indian Navy and Army worked together to finish the biennial exercise “Jal Prahar 2025.” The exercise took place on India’s eastern coast and was meant to improve collaboration between the many branches of the military and their ability to fight in amphibious warfare. | 4. The NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations via Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls) program started in June 2025. The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) are working together on it. NAVYA wants to teach girls aged 16 to 18 skills. The main goal is to help girls in underprivileged and tribal areas, with a goal of 3,850 girls to start. The programme integrates occupational skills with fundamental life skills to foster employability, confidence, and entrepreneurship. NAVYA (तरुण किशोरवयीन मुलींसाठी व्यावसायिक प्रशिक्षणाद्वारे आकांक्षा वाढवणे) कार्यक्रम जून २०२५ मध्ये सुरू झाला. महिला आणि बाल विकास मंत्रालय (MWCD) आणि कौशल्य विकास आणि उद्योजकता मंत्रालय (MSDE) यावर एकत्र काम करत आहेत. | 5. The third Unmesha – International Literature Festival took place in Patna, Bihar, from September 25 to 28, 2025. The gathering brought together writers, poets, scholars, and publishers from 15 nations who spoke more than 100 languages. Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, the Vice-President of India, was the Chief Guest at the valedictory session. This was his first trip to Bihar since taking office. The festival emphasized literature’s role in creating society and supporting cultural unity. तिसरा उन्मेषा – आंतरराष्ट्रीय साहित्य महोत्सव २५ ते २८ सप्टेंबर २०२५ दरम्यान बिहारमधील पटना येथे पार पडला. या मेळाव्यात १०० हून अधिक भाषा बोलणारे १५ देशांतील लेखक, कवी, विद्वान आणि प्रकाशक एकत्र आले होते. भारताचे उपराष्ट्रपती श्री सी.पी. राधाकृष्णन हे समारोप सत्राचे प्रमुख पाहुणे होते. पदभार स्वीकारल्यानंतर बिहारला हा त्यांचा पहिलाच दौरा होता. या महोत्सवात समाज निर्माण करण्यात आणि सांस्कृतिक एकतेला पाठिंबा देण्यात साहित्याच्या भूमिकेवर भर देण्यात आला. |
| 6. Recent assessments of seven biodiversity parks run by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) show that the number of dragonflies and damselflies is going up. There was a 54% rise from the year before between September 25 and 27, 2025. The overall number of people went up from 8,630 to 13,253. This rise shows that wetland ecosystems and biodiversity are getting stronger in metropolitan Delhi. दिल्ली विकास प्राधिकरण (DDA) द्वारे चालवल्या जाणाऱ्या सात जैवविविधता उद्यानांच्या अलिकडच्या मूल्यांकनातून असे दिसून आले आहे की ड्रॅगनफ्लाय आणि डॅमसेल्फलाईजची संख्या वाढत आहे. २५ ते २७ सप्टेंबर २०२५ दरम्यान मागील वर्षाच्या तुलनेत ५४% वाढ झाली आहे. एकूण लोकसंख्येची संख्या ८,६३० वरून १३,२५३ पर्यंत वाढली आहे. ही वाढ दर्शवते की महानगर दिल्लीमध्ये पाणथळ परिसंस्था आणि जैवविविधता मजबूत होत आहे. |
| 7. The opening of India’s first Maritime Simulation Centre in 2025 was a big step forward for the country’s maritime education. This centre is the outcome of a strategic cooperation between the Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) and A.P. Moller – Maersk, a major shipping company. It is located at AMET Knowledge Park near Chennai, Tamil Nadu. | 8. The Ministry of Home Affairs extended the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in parts of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland for six more months from October 2025. This follows ongoing ethnic violence and security concerns, especially in Manipur’s valley and hill districts.
