1. Shaheed Diwas is also known as Martyrs’ Day. This day honours the valour of the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. On this day, in 1931, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru were hanged to death by the British who were then ruling over India.

3. Global Economic Outlook-March 2022, Fitch Ratings lowered India’s GDP growth prediction for fiscal FY 2022-2023 to 8.5 percent.

4. On March 21, PhonePe, a digital payments, and financial services startup, announced the acquisition of GigIndia, a Pune-based network for independent micro-entrepreneurs.

6. The Assembly of Haryana has passed the “Haryana Prevention of Unlawful Conversion of Religious Bill, 2022.” According to the government of Haryana, this Bill is aimed to prevent religious conversions through force.

7. 65 new planets have been discovered by NASA outside the Earth’s solar system. This new discovery takes the total number of exoplanets that have been discovered to over 5000. Some of these discovered planets are Earth-like.
