SSC CHSL is a national-level exam conducted by the Staff Selection Commission to recruit candidates for clerical and data entry roles in central government ministries and departments.

2. What posts are available under SSC CHSL 2025?

  • Data Entry Operator (DEO) / Grade ‘A’

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC) / Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA)

3. How many vacancies are there?

A total of 3131 posts are available for recruitment.

4. What is the educational qualification?

  • For DEO: 12th pass (Science stream) with Mathematics

  • For LDC/JSA: 12th pass in any stream from a recognized board

5. What is the age limit?

As on 01 January 2026:

  • 18 to 27 years

  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 yrs, OBC – 3 yrs

6. What is the job location?

Selected candidates will be posted across India.

7. What is the application fee?

  • General/OBC: ₹100

  • SC/ST/PWD/ExSM/Women: No fee

8. What is the selection process?

Selection will be done in three stages:

  • Tier I: Objective-based online test

  • Tier II: Descriptive Paper + Skill/Typing Test

Yes, candidates applying for DEO/LDC/JSA must qualify:

  • Typing Speed: 35 wpm in English or 30 wpm in Hindi

  • Skill Test: Required for DEO
