About UPSC CMSThe Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) administers the UPSC CMS (Combined Medical Services) test to recruit medical personnel for various government agencies. Here are some broad details on UPSC CMS hiring: 1. Eligibility: A candidate must hold an MBBS from an accredited university in order to be eligible for UPSC CMS. By the time of the test, the applicant must have finished an internship. As of August 1st of the exam year, the maximum age restriction is 32 years old. Certain applicant groups are granted age relaxation. 2. Selection Procedure: A written test and an interview make up the UPSC CMS selection procedure. Two papers make up the written exam. Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test (CBT) including questions from the fields of pediatrics, general medicine, and preventive and social medicine. Paper 2 is a traditional written test with questions from the fields of surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, and social and preventive medicine. Those who pass the written test are invited to an interview. 3. Application Procedure: The UPSC CMS application procedure is conducted online. Applications are accepted via the UPSC website. The exam has a small application cost, which applicants can pay online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking. 4. Hall Ticket: Eligible students may obtain their written test admit card on the official website. To appear for the test, candidates need to download and print their admission card. 5. Results: Candidates who pass the written test and interview are contacted for a medical examination and document verification. The results are often posted on the official website. |
