| 1. Tata Group is India’s most valuable brand, with a value of US$ 28.6 billion, 9% more than the previous year. With this type of growth, Tata is almost poised to become the first Indian brand worth more than $30 billion.

| 2. The 16th “Nomadic Elephant” Joint Military Exercise will be held between the Indian Army and the Mongolian Army from July 3 to July 16, 2024. They want to conduct this military training in Umroi, Meghalaya. | 3. Three new criminal laws went into effect in India on July 1, 2023. This was a significant alteration in the country’s legal system. These laws aim to modernise the present legal system by replacing colonial-era rules with ones that reflect Indian ideas and societal standards.

| 4. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has joined Project Nexus, a global initiative to make it simpler for consumers to move money immediately across borders. To do this, Fast Payment Systems (FPSs) from several nations are linked together. In this scheme, India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) will connect to the FPSs of Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. It’s all part of the project.

| 5. Archaeologists in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, discovered an ostrich nest that is 41,000 years old. This is the oldest known nest of its kind anywhere on the planet. The site provided valuable information on prehistoric India’s megafauna, including probable hints as to how they became extinct. Devara Anil Kumar, assistant professor at MS University in Vadodara, headed the team that discovered what used to be a nest capable of holding 30 to 40 eggs, but only 9 to 11 egg shells were uncovered.

| 6. Since Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s trip to India in June, the two nations’ military cooperation has advanced significantly. This visit cleared the basis for a more robust defence collaboration between the two countries. The Bangladesh Navy’s decision to purchase an 800-ton oceangoing tug marked “Made in India” is a significant outcome of improved defence cooperation. Garden Reach Shipbuilding & Engineers Ltd (GRSE), an Indian business, built this ship, which India is paying for using a line of credit. The arrangement is planned to coincide with Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi’s visit to Bangladesh as India’s Chief of Naval Staff.

| 7. India just created the “Fauna of India Checklist Portal,” which is a significant step towards animal conservation. This comprehensive collection includes 1,04,561 species, making India the first country in the world to document all of its wildlife. The event took held in Kolkata on the Zoological Survey of India’s (ZSI) 109th Foundation Day. Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav presided over the occasion.
