1. India has paid USD 32.89 million to the United Nations Regular Budget for 2024, joining the “honour roll” of 36 Member States that have paid all of their regular budget dues to the UN on time.
भारताने 2024 च्या युनायटेड नेशन्सच्या नियमित बजेटसाठी USD 32.89 दशलक्ष दिले आहेत, 36 सदस्य राष्ट्रांच्या “ऑनर रोल” मध्ये सामील झाले आहेत ज्यांनी UN ला त्यांचे सर्व नियमित बजेट देय वेळेवर दिले आहेत.
2. On February 2, 2024, the National Payments Corporation of India’s (NPCI) Unified Payment Interface (UPI) was formally launched at Paris’ Eiffel Tower. This is an important step towards taking UPI global. The launch coincided with India’s Republic Day celebrations in Paris. PM Modi welcomed the launch, describing it as a significant step towards expanding UPI globally and an encouraging example of promoting digital payments and strengthening India-France ties.
नॅशनल पेमेंट्स कॉर्पोरेशन ऑफ इंडियाचे (NPCI) युनिफाइड पेमेंट इंटरफेस (UPI) 2 फेब्रुवारी 2024 रोजी पॅरिसमधील आयफेल टॉवर येथे औपचारिकपणे लाँच करण्यात आले. हे UPI जागतिक पातळीवर नेण्यात एक महत्त्वाचे पाऊल आहे. पॅरिसमध्ये भारताच्या प्रजासत्ताक दिनाच्या समारंभाच्या अनुषंगाने हे प्रक्षेपण झाले. 3. The Indian Air Force (IAF) will hold a major exercise called Vayu Shakti-24 in Rajasthan on February 17th. The exercise will demonstrate the IAF’s offensive and defensive capabilities during day and night operations.

4. The National Conference on Promoting Seaweed Cultivation took place recently in Koteshwar (Kori Creek), Kutch, Gujarat.
It aimed to implement seaweed cultivation across India, with a focus on diversifying marine production and increasing fish farmer income.

5. The Indian Navy is preparing to commission its latest survey vessel, Sandhayak (Y-3025), at the Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.The ship’s primary role is to conduct full-scale hydrographic surveys of ports, harbours, navigational channels/routes, coastal areas, and deep seas in order to facilitate safe maritime navigation.
